Okay gang as promised cause I'm such a nice guy… a lot of you wanted the bride and groom pins but could get down here to get them.

Soooooo out of the goodness of my heart I'm offering 6 sets of two pins, which means you get the bride and groom pins. (Sorry you have to take both)

Rules are as before the first 6 people to reply to my post with a "hey Ed you're a nice guy for doing this and your wife is nice too". (Remember she does the shipping) Will get the pins at cost plus shipping.

If its okay with everybody I'm gonna set shipping at a flat $2.50, this will cover shipping, and the cost of the bubbled envelope I use. (This is only for state side shipping)

So your total would be $8.50 x 2 plus tax, plus $2.50 for a total of $37.50 Oh Duh my bad no no no that's wrong $37.52 that's better.

In reality its $18.02 for the pins and $2.50 shipping so the total is $20.52.

And if I might start a begging thread of my own, I don't mind doing this really I'll explain why in a minute, I know I know yes I have to go get the pins, and ship them, but I'm there anyway, and I ship stuff all the time so its no big deal. (Well yea it's a big deal). I only ask one favor and it's totally optional.

As most of you know I play a lot of games with the kids and give away a lot of pins, these pins come from my personal stock I purchase them. Cast members do the same thing, but they get their giveaway pins from Disney. So if possible those that want to buy my pins when you send the funds to pay for the pins, if you have any one old pin laying around that means nothing to you, if you could send it along as a token I would really appreciate it. I will use the pin as a giveaway for the kids you have my word on this, it's just getting harder to give pins away when the price keeps going up. Again this is totally optional and not needed to get the pins.

Anybody can play USA Japan England; I don't mind, but shipping outside the USA will be a little more that's all.

Now I have to get serious:

I have been asked why am I doing this, and some have commented you shouldn't go to all this trouble, now they will be always be asking you for pins.

So on a serious note I'll explain. I started pin trading because I thought you were all nuts, and I saw a people making a killing on ebay selling pins, and hey I wanted a piece of the action. The first few traders I met were in it for the same reason so I figured why not.

Then something happened on the first night that I did an all nighter. It was for the Swan pin my very first LE1000. While in line the more pin traders I met the nicer they all became, they were a family oriented friendly nice bunch of people, the more I saw the more I wanted in. By morning I had made over 20 new friends. I sorta left the dark side of the force that night you might say.

Truth is I found it is truly more fun to give than to receive (No I'm not going to give these pins away I'm not that nuts yet). Try it give a child a pin, and tell me you don't enjoy it, its like you're a pin pusher, and you give them that first pin hit for free, but the next one well…. Well if its me its probably free as well.

As for the rest of the story, I'm having a ball doing this, so many of you have helped me out I feel it only right that I return the favor. (I'm kinda redeeming myself for calling you all nuts)…(but in truth you all are)

But with every good there is a bad, some of the locals have asked me to stop this because they want to use those pins to trade with those of you that do not have them. (Locals not from my side of the fence folks, locals that read the boards though)

I don't follow those ideas, these are rack pins for crying out loud, I consider the fact that I live in Disney's back yard an honor, and a privilege I don't see it as a means to exploit the masses that don't.

You will never catch me asking tourist to purchase LE pins for me so I can sell them on Ebay, I am not a cast member, and no I do not get a discount then sell them here at cost. I paid just what I'm selling them for.

But I am a new kid on the block and I'm asking the elders (no pun intended) if what I'm doing is cool just give a thumbs up, if I'm stepping on toes, and breaking the evolution food pin chain let me know and I'll stop. See I'm easy.

I have consulted with a few of the wise oracles, and a few of the elders or as I call them the ancient ones, and got pretty much thumbs up, but lets here from the rest of the masses.

And remember only 6 please I'll post the winners after I get six.
:p :p :p :p :p

hey Ed you're a nice guy for doing this and your wife is nice too.
I'd love to buy a set from you and would also be glad to donate to your Guess the flippin' pin game, whether I win your Bride & Groom pin lottery or not. :)

You really are a nice guy, and I think your wife must be a saint!

I just want to say that I really appreciate your offer, but with a friend from my area buying pins for me right now at WDW, and my parents going to DL on Thursday, the pin budget is all used up.

For someone who lives 3300 miles away from WDW and only a one income household, I don't know what I would do without the people who sell pins at cost. Too often I hear, "Just trade for what you want, don't be afraid." It's kind of hard to do that when you don't have much to trade and can't get "wanted" pins to begin with. For some of us, the idea of "pin trading" has been pretty much a pipe dream, financial circumstances relegating us to the status of pin collectors.

So thanks Raul!

Hey Ed, your wife's a nice ship and you are a pin head.

No wait, oh geez I think I messed that up. Let me start over, you are a nice Ed and your wife is not a nice Ed but she is pretty cool because she ships. Oh wait, man I can't remember what was that again?

Oh yeah, you are a rock-and-roll stud and your wife is lucky because most women want you bad. But this relationship works because everyone knows that rock-and-roll studs only marry Super Models.

Jeff

From a deported Canadian (who ships)--but doesn't speak in Babalonian Boy-toy-ese

Does this mean that you want a set for you, or you just want one for your favs' the Diamondback
Rattlesnake football team???

Donna (also known as the realllllly nice wife...who ships)

Hey Ed, it was great meeting you on our last trip down there and you are a really nice guy for doing this. You have our thumbs up support and we totally agree with your philosophy of friendship, fun, and giving away pins. We look forward to running into you on future trips and trading!

Ed, Your a nice guy and your wife is nice too.
But I don't want the pins, I will be there in just a few weeks.. 3 to be exact, so I will pick them up when I get there.
Send them to the poor and needy who aren't lucky enough to get to WDW to spend time with you. (and your lovely wife of course)
I will make sure I get to my favorite pin stock up place and buy you lots of pins for those kiddies.
Cant wait till Friday the 9th. but then my trip will be half over.
See you soon. Peggie

"hey Ed you're a nice guy for doing this and your wife is nice too". But I too am not looking for the pins. And what your doing is not just okay... It's Fantastic.. You keep on doing it. I just moved it over here to the trade board.

Hey Ed you're a great guy for doing this and your wife is terrific! I would really like the bride and groom set and I would be happy to send you a pin for the kids.

Hi Ed!

You and your wife are both super, duper nice. If you still have a set of the wedding pins available, I would love to get them from you! I am getting married @ Disney next June!!! :)

Yee I need to get on the board more often. I'm always late in reading your posts. they are great by the way. and LONG..... I missed the laryards and now I'm missing the bride and groom Pins. Do I have a change. I started reading the board about 3 weeks ago I'm new at collecting and I'm starting on the DS pins like everyone else. And I've trade for the pins I needed I even got #1. I've meet so many nice people on the board. Well keep me in mind for the lovebirds ( M&M Bride & Groom) I may have missed it again I can't count.
