I loved the words between him and Chris today. That was cute even though it was a bad situation.

Can you believe that they are now selling Simone's bedding on Shop the Soaps, in addition to Greenlee's??!! (Aprille's comment about Simone keeping sheets under her couch cushions reminded me) Who would want Simone's bedding.....especially after Roger has slept on it!!! YUCK! I definitely think that Roger wants something from Simone, now. But if HE is Proteus, then I wonder why he wants her to write a book about Proteus? Or maybe he isn't, but he wants to further expose Proteus?? Or take over for him / her? Who knows?

I actually did cry when Jamie told Tad that he loved him, yesterday. But you're right, Aprille - then Tad just hung up on him! At least it made Tad realize that he needs to get back to his sons. I was very happy when Palmer agreed to spend the night with Opal and Petey! I hope that this is the beginning of their reconciliation!

Yeah, Kendall was definitely overacting, yesterday. I really wonder what she was doing there, if she didn't set the fire (though I agree that she wasn't the one who did it). They really do a good job with the special effects when they film a disaster like that (remember when Holidays exploded?). I wonder if they are really destroying the set of Linden House? Every few years, Erica gets a new house - I think that she moved into this one when she was engaged to Jack! I liked this set of her house. Maybe she will temporarily move into Enchantment until she builds a new one.

I hope that they don't kill off Ryan and that Cameron doesn't leave the show! I've really been enjoying his scenes with Chris. I hope that he saves Chris to repay him for saving his life.

I wonder if Leo will figure out that Simone is the person for whom the lingerie was intended......!

Thoughts for the day:

Hayley’s snotty, know-it-all attitude is getting on my last nerve. She’s really good at those sneering facial expressions and injecting a sarcastic inflection into ALL her lines, isn’t she?! What really irritates me is she’ll come out smelling like a rose when it turns out she’s “right” about Mia. UGH!!

Why did Adam feel the need to explain himself to Hayley when she opened the door and saw Adam and Mia hugging?

I think Liza’s new haircut looks great!

What was up with Trey and Maggie hugging?! I’m not feeling too sorry for Maggie. She painted herself into this lonely corner. Boohoo!

I absolutely loved all the Chris/Ryan scenes today! If Cameron Mathison really is leaving I’m going to miss the development of this father/son relationship. But I hope if he does leave he takes Kendall with him!

If I have to suffer through one more sappy letter from Ditsie I will SCREAM!!!

I cracked up at the ending today! Kendall and Ryan are at the hospital about to kiss in a tender moment (which has me about to gag! ) when Jack arrives to place Kendall under arrest for arson. Then Erica, Bianca and Chris come out of Chris’ room and Kendall twirls around to glare at Erica. Erica gives her this “what did you expect b!tch?!” look that was HILARIOUS!!

I found it slim pickin’s for funny lines today but I’ll give the award to David. Anna was psychoanalyzing David (UGH!) and explaining to him that he went off the deep end about Maggie being PO’d about him signing her up for a CPR class because he likes to take care of people and solve their problems. (Huh?! ) David responds: “It IS what I do. Remember the doctor thing?”

I'm glad Ryan didn't die in the fire. It looks like now there's hope he could someday return to Pine Valley (please). Now, Chris....I think he better stay away from Kryptonite. He's a recovering parapalegic who carried Bianca down the stairs in smoke and fire, was crushed by the ceiling twice and he's fine! What a guy.

OhMyGawd!!! Did anyone watch the Daytime Emmys in it's entirety last night?! I can't believe what happened to Susan Lucci at the very end. She had just presented the Best Actor award and was standing backstage when the Best Actress award was announced. The goobs presenting the Best Actress award screamed out the name of the winner which was Susan Flannery but you couldn't understand what they said because they were screaming. The AMC theme song started playing and the camera went to Susan Lucci who was mouthing "Susan Flannery?" when someone off camera must have told her it was her and she mouthed "Me?" and her face lit up and she headed toward the stage. Then the camera went to Susan Flannery who was approaching the stage from her seat. It was AWFUL!!! I felt so bad for Susan Lucci.

The whole ugly incident could have been avoided if the presenters had been professional and not screamed out the name. I think they were excited because the winner was on the same show with them. I only watch AMC so I don't know all these other actors.

This is the first time I have watched the Daytime Emmys. As I have stated before I don't put much stock in these award shows because I feel they are so political. The show left such a bad taste in my mouth I won't ever be watching again. That's for sure!

Congratulations to Josh Duhamel on his win for Best Supporting Actor. He was so cute running up to hug his mom and sister way up in the cheap seats before he went to the stage. I thought he should have thanked Rebecca Budig in his speech though.

AMC was robbed! 21 nominations and only one Emmy. See why I hate awards shows?!

Aprille - I couldn't believe the incident with Susan Lucci either. Part of the problem was with them screaming the name but the director of the show was sure at fault too. If there was confusion, they should have never put the camera on Lucci. And then playing the theme song? It was like a bad nightmare. Lucci knew it wasn't her until someone insisted it was her. I thought maybe the lunatic presenters had read the name wrong themselves. Poor La Lucci is just cursed by these Daytime Emmy Awards. Maybe she and Regis will arrange to be out of town again next year.

I felt AWFUL for Susan...she has been gracious all these years and what they did to her was unforgiveable!!!

As far as AMC not winning much, I was not surprised....they never seem to win over the voters, and this years storylines have not been that good....

"I forgot to thank a few people because I was so excited and overwhelmed!! I just could not believe that I won and I had no idea what to say, Anyway, I need to thank Rebecca Budig. Actually If we could split this down the middle she deserves half of this. She is so great and deserves this as much as I do" either he said as much as I do or as much as anyone..

What a sweetie! I think he was so shocked he won and then he ate up a lot of his speech time finding his mom and sister to hug so he was a little flustered and forgot to thank Rebecca in his speech.

Has anyone heard any comments from Susan Lucci since the awards? Bless her heart. I still feel so bad for her! I'm sure she'll remain the class act she has always been. Kill 'em with kindness!

Hey Everyone!

I was also mortified about what happened with Susan Lucci at the Daytime Emmys. I couldn't even watch what happened after she mouthed "me?" and it looked like she was going to walk out onto the stage - I turned away from the TV and DF told me that (I guess) somebody stopped her before she actually walked out onto the stage. That was horrible. Definitely not only the fault of the presenters, but moreso the producers, or whomever told the camera person to focus on Susan Lucci, the orchestra to play the "AMC" theme song, and whomever was telling her to walk onto the stage. UGH. I was thrilled for Josh Duhamel, though, and was jumping up and down when he won! I also loved that he ran back to kiss his mother and sister before accepting the award. I still wish that Greenlee and Vanessa had been nominated and that Bianca and ex-JR (who looked so grown up, didn't he?) had won.

I agree with you, Tina - Hayley has been really obnoxious lately. I know that she's just looking out for her family, but she has been particularly opinionated and judgmental. Well, Arlene is scheduled to come back to town next Friday, so maybe she will knock her down a few pegs!

What's with Maggie and Trey? Had they known eachother before? Or did he just happen to see a damsel in distress (and one who could help him with the whole Vanessa / Proteus / money thing, no less) and go to her to comfort her? She deserved Bianca telling her off - she was totally rude to her - and to David.

In the mean time, why was Kendall so surprised that Erica was having her arrested? She said "it's all my fault" right to Erica - how could she not know that Erica would press charges?!

Now I definitely think that Adam and Mia are going to get together - they're even dressing her like a little girl - like they did with Ditsie, before she married Adam.

Kind of like Maggie way over reacted when Bianca touched her face?! Maggie seems to want to be friends when it's convenient for her. She has thumbed her nose at everyone who has attempted to be nice to her. I can't drum up much sympathy for Maggie OR Kendall. But obviously we each see things from our own point of view.

I gave up at this point. Two wrongs don’t make a right?!?! Maggie has treated Bianca like crap ever since she landed in Pine Valley! If Maggie was sincere about making amends to Bianca the first words out of her mouth should have been, “I’m so sorry I’ve been such a b!tch to you!”

Well, I agree with you, Aprille - Maggie has been totally rude to Bianca and not appreciative enough of David, ever since she came to PV! She needs to lose the attitude!

I can't believe that Rosie O'Donnell is the one who told Susan Lucci that it was she who had won! If that's the case, it's probably only because Rosie is such a huge "AMC" fan and wanted her to win so badly!

But Rosie wasn't the one who told the AMC music to be cued or the camera to cut to Susan. As Lisa pointed out Rosie is a huge AMC (and Susan Lucci) fan which is probably why she got caught up in the moment. I'm sure Rosie feels awful about it too. (And I'm not a Rosie fan so I feel a little strange defending her.)

If the idiot presenters had said the name clearly (hey, they're actors - it should have been a simple task! ) the whole ugly chain of events never would have happened. Looks like there is plenty of blame to go around but as PamOKW pointed out the ultimate blame lies with the director and/or producer. Was Dick Clark just the producer or did he direct too? The entire debacle is inexcusable.

Just popped over to PVB to see if I could find any more details on what was said on Regis & Kelly today and found this post. I found it very interesting. The topic was "Why has Hayley become such a witch".

I have to chime in here too. I've always adored Kelly, but I gotta say, she really really disappointed me today on Live. Regis asked what the heck happened to Susan Lucci because he left early - Kelly started to explain with "As best as I could tell . . . " meaning she didn't have all of the facts - Regis even said, didn't the band start playing the theme song and Kelly said, Band? I wasn't aware there was a band . . . so, Kelly didn't have all the facts - she said that when the presenters said Susan that the whole crowd started screaming and no one heard correctly, but then they cameraman was focusing on SL backstage and Rosie was the one who kept telling her, You won you won and started pushing her onstage. It just rubbed me the wrong way that not only did she not have all the facts (usually when the winner is announced the camera goes to the winner, not the loser - in this case it went to SL, not SF), but she placed the blame entirely on Rosie!

Then, all she and Regis did was complain (jokingly of course) about not winning, they all lost, first Mark, then Kelly, then Kelly as host, then her show -- NOT once did she congratulate Josh on his win. The lack of congratulating one of her co-stars really showed me what a crappy loser she and/or Mark really is!

As for her character Haley, I've been saying it for the last couple of weeks too - what is with her smirky, smarmy know it all attitude? Can't stand her anymore. Hopefully they'll either give her something real to do, or write her off!
