I think you might be onto something here, Lisa. A poster on PVB also speculated that Mia and Adam might get together. I'd much rather see Tad with Liza than Brooke so I kind of like this theory.

ITA! (Except for the liking Finola Hughes part! ) The actress who portrays Vanessa is Marj Dusay and she has done a fantastic job in the role.

This is exactly why I don't put much stock in the Daytime Emmys or any other awards in the acting profession. If Erika Slezak winning over Susan Lucci for so many years doesn't prove it's nothing but a bunch of politics, I don't know what does! I'm sorry but that woman can't act! I don't know how the heck she has won so many Emmys. I caught the beginning of OLTL the other day and I think she's gotten worse, if that's possible.

If you can stand another post from me, here's my thoughts on today's episode:

Hmmm. I'm not as happy about Ditsie being dead as I thought I would be. I truly don't think I'm going to survive Tad mourning her. I'm so PO'd at the way this whole thing is playing out I could just SCREAM!! MEK is doing a fantastic job but I DO NOT want to see him go off the deep end. MEK is probably enjoying the opportunity to flex his acting muscles but I don't want this to drag out forever. I like happy, funny Tad and I'm afraid it will be eons before we see him again.

Uh, I'm almost afraid to admit this but I have not shed a single tear since Ditsie's death has been announced. Almost did when JR's lower lip started quivering yesterday and again today when Brooke hugged Tad after he opened the gift Ditsie left for him. But I have not shed a tear. Does that make me a heartless b!tch?! At the very least it shows how deep my hatred for the character runs, doesn't it?! I may start shedding many tears if Pine Valley's period of mourning exceeds much more than a couple of weeks.

No way would Erica and Chris have left Bianca in the house alone after just figuring out that Kendall had been in the house without anyone's knowledge. Hello?! That means she has access to the house in spite of the alarm system. Just another plot device of which there have been way too many lately. Let's see - Ditsie and the baby being declared dead with no bodies recovered, Brooke running off to Zurich with Tad while her son is in a total emotional meltdown, Anna picking up her prescription (birth control pills) at the nurse's station (thanks - I think - for reminding me of that one, Lisa!), Greenlee not telling Simone that her parents may be getting back together and the above mentioned leaving Bianca home alone, just to name a few. Hey, writers - it's getting OLD!!! Just shows how far down the road they're looking when they start these storylines - apparently not very far!

Okay, rant over - for today anyway! Let's move on to the funny stuff:

Despite the fact that Kendall's character is so badly written it was funny to see her saving Erica today by whacking her on the head with a vase.

Roger's gifts being switched was funny too. He got a lingerie gift for Simone and some candlesticks for a wedding present for Greenlee and Leo. The store accidentally sent the gifts to the wrong places. Simone received the candlesticks while Roger was there. He rushed up to Greenlee's in a panic to try to salvage the snafu. Greenlee is in the bedroom on the phone with Revlon (another plot device) and Leo knows something is fishy so he opens up the gift, pulls out the lingerie and holds it up to himself and says, "This is yours, Roger? Wow that's a really ugly picture." That's definitely my vote for funny line of the day.

Gee, sorry this is so long! Guess I had more to say than usual today!

I was beginning to feel a little sorry for Tad today..... . Thank GOD he had sense enough to DYE his Hair! As far as the fire is concerned, I Don't think Kendall did it, I think TREY did! Will Bianca Survive THIS??? And WHAT is it with that Bandage on the side of her face? It looks SOOO fake! Erica SURE made her feelings known to Kendall, huh! To think I will MISS it the next 2 days! (I have to WORK) .

These story lines are getting a bit thin dontcha think? Come on writers...we deserve better!

I wish this whole Proteus thing would just wrap up. They are still dragging it out with Trey and Roger and the money. COME ON ALREADY!

On another note, I just LOVED it when Leo was sliding in to the music a la Tom Cruise in his boxers! That was funny!

I just hope that the storytelling improves and SOON.

Hi! I just found this thread! I'm a long time AMC fan. I must confess that I tape the shows and sometimes am a week behind watching them during the school year since I watch OLTL too. I'll just jump right in here though. Ok, I have been waiting for Ditsie to die for years now. Unless David was in her scenes, I usually fastforwarded thru any scene she was in. Nothing could have made me happier to find out her car went off an embakement... but then somehow I knew it was too good to be true, so now we have a missing body? I should have known. Maria's missing body was one thing... Ditsie? NOT. I too agree they are dragging out the Proteus deal way too long. Well, that's all for now, but I'm glad I found this thread.

Aww, Faith - I like Tad's natural gray! At least they didn't get it so brassy this time as they have in the past. And it looks like they left a little gray in the temples.

SPW is reporting that Cameron Mathison is leaving in June. The article says that Cameron confirms that he is leaving and issued a statement. He says he has come to the point in his life where he would like to explore other opportunities. He is eternally grateful to the talented team of professionals at AMC and ABC Daytime -- many he feels are like his extended family. It's been an amazing 4 years and he also thanks his fans for their support, loyalty and friendship. An AMC spokesman said that he may return for a brief stint at some point in the future. Cam says he would love to come back, but looks forward to what the future holds both professionally and personally. No final airdate was available.

I think SPW is Soap Opera Weekly. Here’s a link to the thread: Uncasting Scoop. Be forewarned that there are a couple of people on the thread who seem to be very happy about this bit of news.

If this is true (who knows - we've heard it before) I guess he won’t be at SSW in November.

I hated Kendall's orange skirt too....you needed sunglasses to watch her!

Looks like Ditsie's death will be the catalyst to get Opal and Palmer back together. Finally!!

Roger and Simone do it again! EWWW!! EWWW!! EWWW!! Does Simone keep sheets under her couch cushions so she and her man can wrap themselves up in them after hot sex in the living room?! (Sorry for the visual!) EWWW!!

Kendall was over the top today. She seemed to be hyperventilating while speaking her lines. Perhaps she went to the Vanessa school of breathing.

Jamie speaks!! He said, "I love you" to Tad on the phone. Funny - neither of his parents said it to him. And it appeared that Tad just hung up on him after he said it. How weird was that?!

I was very distracted during the Tad/Brooke scenes today. Um, how do I put this delicately? Tad kept having to, uh, wipe his nose with his hands to, uh, keep the nasal mucus from running down his lip. EWWW!! I found it VERY distracting. Give that man a handkerchief or at least a kleenex!! Can you tell I'm just not getting into the spirit of this storyline?!

From the previews it appears Hayley the B!tch returns tomorrow.

I haven't seen today's episode yet, since I'm still at work (so I haven't read your most recent post yet, Aprille), but I just wanted to stop by and say "hi"!

Congratulations on your 5000th post, Christine!

I also thought it was hilarious, yesterday, when Leo was doing the Tom Cruise thing and didn't realize that Roger was there, and when Roger's gifts were delivered to the wrong places and Leo saw the gift that was intended for Simone! Also, when Kendall bashed Erica over the head with the vase! You're right - Erica never would have left Bianca alone, knowing that Kendall had been in her room at some point or another. I know that Kendall ran away from the court house, but given the fact that she is supposedly being held in custody.....why isn't the police after her, while she's roaming around PV? I also haven't cried for Ditsie, Aprille - you are not alone! I came close when Tad broke down after seeing the sonogram picture, yesterday, but I guess because I know that she is probably still alive, I can't get that upset.

I also think that Vanessa should have been nominated for an Emmy!

Chris was carrying Bianca when the ceiling collapsed on top of him. He told her how to get out and she did. Maybe it is true about Cameron because he went in to save Chris. They were just about to get out when the rest of the ceiling and chandelier collapsed on them.

I'll skip the Simone/Roger updates....although it seems as if maybe Simone is using Roger to find out about Proteus.
