My guess on Josh's parentage is that Erica was carrying twins. The delightful Dr. Madden's wife couldn't have babies so when Erica came in pregnant and planning on giving up the baby for adoption and unaware she was having two babies, Dr. Madden decided to let Erica put the baby girl (Kendall) up for adoption and walked off with the baby boy (Josh) and gave her to his wife. This is a guess of course. It is painfully obvious though that Josh and Kendall will end up being related.

I actually thought that this was established before & that is the case. I don't know where I read it - here possibly (?). I thought that's why Dr. Madden kept telling Josh that he had to stay away from Kendall when Erica was trying to figure out if Kendall was a lesbian (?)

Belated Happy Holidays and Belated Happy New Year, Everyone! So sorry that I haven't been able to post in awhile - I fell behind with AMC during the holiday week, and wouldn't let myself look at the thread until I caught up! I've missed so many great discussions, here!

I can't believe that I missed Aprille's return to the thread - we KNEW that she wouldn't be able to stay away, once Ditsie made her first appearance!

Hi Everyone! And welcome to all of our newest posters!

Sooooo glad that Kendall and Zach FINALLY admitted their feelings to one another! And I thought it was so sweet, yesterday, when they released the balloons with their hopes and dreams on them! I do agree, though, that Kendall looked more "pregnant" when she was faking it to protect Bianca, than now! She can't not be pregnant now, though - she had morning sickness........and one would think that she would notice that she's not getting her "monthly visitor", too..........but this is PV - who knows??

I really can't get used to the prospect of Julia and Ryan together.......though I'd rather see him with Julia than with Kendall!

I was so happy for Simone and Ethan - I just had a feeling that he was going to propose to her! But then I had a horrible thought (please forgive me if this was mentioned in the spoilers, as I didn't read them - as usual!) - you don't think that they are having them get engaged to write them off the show together, do you? Ethan's presence would be interesting, if they brought back Michael, but it could also "get in the way", from a Cambias Enterprises (or whatever it's called) standpoint. I hope that they didn't finally allow Simone to be happy (to own a portion of Fusion, to finally find love) just to write her off the show!

I also hate what they have done to Janet's character, from a continuity standpoint, as you've all been saying. I do think that Kate Collins is doing an amazing job, and the comic relief is great, too! And it's neat to see what mischief she comes up with. But you're all right in saying that the writers must think that we have very short memories - Janet was a perfectly sane and respected citizen of PV when she left (even though - as I recall - Trevor, Janet, Amanda, and Tim had to leave PV secretly and go off somewhere far away because Janet had killed someone in self-defense to protect Amanda and Trevor had helped her cover it up, so they left town. I guess they expect us to have forgotten that, as well.) In the mean time, I don't think that Janet killed Trevor (although it seems odd that Trevor would not have contacted Amanda in so long). I think that perhaps he left her, and she is so distraught that she is taking her frustrations out on the citizens of PV (which would explain why she would do something to Kendall, even though she has nothing against her, personally). I just don't understand why she continues to do these things, KNOWING that Amanda is getting blamed for all of them. If she is doing these things at least in part to protect or avenge Amanda, then I would think that she would do them in such a way that it wouldn't appear as though Amanda is doing them!

As for Ditsie, I'm also dying to know how they are going to justify her staying away from PV and "her boys" for so long - AND how they are going to explain Di's having known that she was alive, all along! Clearly Ditsie doesn't know that Di posed as her.........or that she fell in love with Tad, in the process........ I like Tenor's theory about Ditsie's being terminally ill........and that David could possibly save her life (AGAIN)! And I do think that Ditsie and David will wind up together, eventually. They will have to "tease" us with the Tad and Ditsie reunion for awhile, by having him with Di and her with David - the way that they did when Maria first returned to PV and she was with Aidan and Ed-dumb was with Mia. By the time Ed-dumb and Maria finally reunited, no one cared, or we didn't want them together, anyway! That may happen with Tad and Ditsie, too! (And they both definitely need to get new hair stylists! Although Ditsie's current hair style is a big improvement over some of the weird ones that she had, in the mid - late 90's! Maybe they're dressing her so "matronly", now, to create a bigger distinction between the way that she looks and the way that Di looks?)

Likewise, I also have no idea how they're going to explain Erica's not knowing that she was pregnant with twins.........or the age difference / similarity between her and Greg. I just hope that during Erica's "research", finding out what Greg is "hiding", she doesn't really wind up falling in love with him! I want them to keep her and Jack together!

MY DH and I were having "AMC withdrawal" when the show wasn't on, on Monday, so we watched old tapes of the Libidozone episodes that night! It was fun to see how much everyone has changed in just 5 years! And it made me miss Bianca, Gillian, Greenlee (the way that she used to be - not the way that she was just before she left), Leo, and Vanessa even more! That was when David was at the height of his obsession with Ditsie - that's one of the things that convinced me that the 2 of them will be together, again, when she returns to PV! Remember when Greenlee pushed crazy Laura off of the yacht? And when Hayley caught Mateo in bed with Arlene? Ah, the memories............

All week, I've been thinking they must have some really good space heaters at the casino's gazebo, because Kendall was outside all night in that spaghetti-strap dress and didn't seem to shiver once, until they were down
on the beach in the morning.

I have a question about Janet, too. Did I miss something way back when? I remember her being back in PV for a period of time when she wasn't "crazy" anymore, but she was still wierd as all get out. She had made friends with Erica in jail and they got rid of some guy's body rolled up in the carpet. Who WAS that? I think he fell down Erica's stairs or something. I remember she pretended to be "Jane Cox" and I think that's when Trevor fell in love with her, right? The whole time I thought he was nuts for falling for her, and although she wasn't talking to herself in the mirror anymore, she was still kind of wacko IMO. I just don't remember her being the respected PV citizen that others here have mentioned. I do go through periods where I don't watch for a few months here and there, though, so maybe I missed something. Also, I think when they first brought Janet back this go-around, Amanda said something about "her meds", so maybe Janet isn't taking the meds that had been keep her sane. ('course, I don't remember her being on meds before, either, I thought she was just "cured".) Anyway, I don't think it's so odd that she's had a relapse and is wacko again.

Dixie -- I think she's going to have some really stupid reason for not coming back, like she has always had really stupid reasons for everything she did. Whether it's because she's dying or because she has a hangnail, she's just being dumb staying away again, I am at "Ditsie", it suits her so well!

Dr is Erica's brother, her fther cheated on his mother and they are siblings. I do think that Ryan or Zach is the abbies father and the reason greg is adamnat about no kendall/josh thing if that they are cousins?? Janet is a loon and I think that Josh is causing Amanda's blackouts somehow but janet is being the old loon, Josh may be helping her. I don't want Dixie back. She is just being mean to her kids to stay away so long and then they will ahve to explain what ahppened to the baby. Good luck to that! I also think that Little A is JR's, he deserves some happiness even if it is with babe!

If Jonathan can be redeemed, so can Michael.

Is it possible that Dixie was in some sort of a witness protection program ? That might explain why she was forced to fake her death, and there was no body. She may have rationizied that it was better that she "died". Her loved ones could greive and move on - rather than be stuck in limbo always wanting her back, and worrying about her.

I totally forgot that someone shot at Jonathan AT ALL, Carla! I guess that's the "power" that the writers have over us, causing us to pay attention to certain things and forget about others, so that they don't have to go to the trouble of explaining them!

Hmmm.....I never thought of Greg possibly being Erica's brother, Pyrxtc - if that was the case, it would be very creepy that he keeps telling her and others that he was always in love with her! Ewwww!

It's so funny that you mention Erica's old friendship with Janet, Anaheimgirl, because I remembered that storyline yesterday, too, when they showed the scenes for today's show and showed Janet helping Erica (I think!). The body in the carpet was Dr. Kinder, (who Bianca killed by pushing him down the steps), the Dr. who got Erica hooked on painkillers when she was married to Dimitri. Erica, Janet, and Skye Chandler got rid of the body, so that Bianca wouldn't get in trouble for killing him (I don't think that anyone ever wound up finding out, either. So when it came out that Bianca "killed" Michael Cambias, I remember being like "hey! Doesn't anyone remember that Bianca has 'killed', before?!!"). I had totally forgotten about when Erica, Janet, and Skye became very unlikely best buddies!

The "Jane Cox" storyline had to do with Janet falling in love with Tad and pretending to be his secretary, I think. I believe that that's when Kate Collins was playing Janet. The more recent "respected citizen" Janet (played by Robin Mattson) was married to Trevor. If I'm recalling the sequence of events correctly..........she got out of jail and came back to PV with her new face. Trevor was married to Laurel at the time, and they were raising Amanda (and Tim). Janet was in hiding and plotted to blow up the church in which Trevor and Laurel were getting married, but wound up getting hit by lightning in the woods. A reclusive mountain man named Pierce saved her and brought her to his secluded cabin to recuperate. She fell in love with him and lived there with him for awhile. They "adopted" runaway Laura (soon to be Laura English) and lived together as a "family". Then Brooke adopted Laura, Pierce fell in love with Brooke, and Janet started talking to her mirror and plotting to "become" Brooke by talking and acting like her. She got over it and slowly re-entered PV society. Trevor was widowed by now. Janet earned his trust and he started allowing her to spend time with Amanda. Eventually, he fell in love with her and they got married. They were a happy "normal" suburban family for about a year, before Janet was forced to kill someone (an old prison-mate) who was threatening to blackmail her and harm Amanda. And then the Dillons left town in the middle of the night, never to be seen or heard from again, until Tim showed up to help Enzo with his operation, a few years ago.

Loved the scenes with Kendall and Zach!!!!! And so glad that Bianca is still around - hopefully we'll get to see her a few more times before she leaves - it looks like there will be some good scenes with her and Babe, today.

Most of the storylines lately are just waaayyy out there. Almost like there are new writers that didn't bother to check the history.

Oh, yes! Dr. Kinder! He also hid his wife in a closet or something, didn't he? Yes, another winner, there! And Pierce! I always liked him with Brooke.

And Trevor's wife was Laurel, right (Lily's mom)? Didn't Janet try to kill her, too, by messing with her car? That's not how she ended up dying, but I remember they all accused Janet, because of the previous car incident. I can still see Laurel's face in the scene where her car is going off the cliff.

I love reminiscing about old episodes!

Someone posted recently about Erica having had an abortion when she was married to Jeff Martin. I keep wondering if Greg somehow was involved then. They made such a huge deal of his having the Martin family's file in his office. Could he have performed some sort of "procedure" years before any real medical doctor?
I know it sounds crazy, but I keep thinking it must tie in somewhere.

If Josh and Kendall end up being "separated at birth" twins, It's going to look like the writers just got lazy and borrowed some scripts from OLTL with Jessica and Natalie. Way too predictable!

Wow! Great theory about Erica's former connection to the Martin family, and that playing into Greg's "secret" / fascination with them, etc., Zippeedee! Great thinking!

I just wonder what Josh has against Erica, that's making him be so cruel to her (unless he knows that he's her son and feels betrayed that he was given up at birth, the way that Kendall did, years ago). And how did her limo happen to drop her off at the warehouse that Janet's using as "home base"? That leads me to believe that Josh somehow knew that Janet was there, and figured that he could better "frame" Amanda by having Erica run into her.........but how would Josh have known that??? I really don't think that Amanda has anything to do with any of these bad things that have been happening to Erica, lately........maybe Janet is somehow responsible for all of them, too?

Anaheim Girl - yes, Dr. Kinder was married to Skye Chandler (whom he called Gabrielle or Dominique or some other such elegant, French sounding name), and had her chained up and drugged, in some secret room in his house or lab, or something. Erica and Janet helped her escape (Janet had been Kinder's receptionist, I think, and Erica was his patient / former-pseudo-lover) and rejoin PV society.

Yes - Janet tried to kill Laurel by rewiring the brakes on her car (but that didn't work). And Laurel was married to Jack for awhile (though she always loved Trevor), and that's why Jack adopted Lily as his own child (after helping Laurel kill Lily's drug addict father and wrapping HIM up in a carpet and disposing of his body, if I remember correctly! There was a lot of wrapping-up-bodies-in-carpets-and-disposing-of-them, in those days! ). Ultimately, Laurel died when she was hit by a bullet intended for her gay schoolteacher brother, Michael, when they appeared live on The Cutting Edge, in an episode about gay tolerance (the person who shot her was creepy Jason Sheffield).

I thought it was great that they had Bianca and Babe "confront" one another, yesterday (the PV beach sure is seeing a lot of action, lately, isn't it? So is the ice fishing shack set - we haven't seen that since Ryan was hiding out there, years ago!). And I also thought it was great that Bianca expressed the fact that she is still mad at Babe and that sometimes, she still really hates her - it wouldn't have been very realistic if they'd had Bianca be all nice, as if she had forgotten all about the months that she and Miranda were separated because of Babe. One ironic thought that I had: Babe was essentially asking Bianca's "permission" to stay on at Fusion, offering to sell her shares to Zach, if Bianca wanted her to do so. But isn't Bianca technically one of Babe's "bosses", since she (on behalf of Miranda) and Ethan own / control all of Cambias Industries??? So couldn't Bianca just fire Babe, if she wanted to do so??? (But I doubt that she would.)

Loved the scenes with JR and Kendall, too - even though I am thrilled that Kendall is finally with Zach, she and JR really do have good chemistry together, too!
