All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Ugh, I hate the memory card full....it's almost as bad as a dead battery...which happened to me in Europe! I burned through two iPhones taking pictures.

Seriously, where did Jill and John get that breakfast? Casey's? I saw the sausage/egg/whatever on a bun and am very fascinated.

Gotta love Frontierland Donald.

I'm finally getting caught back up again. I'm really loving all the empty park pictures. We went the MK on New Year's Eve 2005 and it was empty at first but by 10 the crowds starting building and by 11 it was super crowded.

I'm hoping to be able to keep up better now. Dennis and the girls got me a laptop for Mother's Day so now I can multi-task. I can watch tv and play on the internet. It also means Danielle and I don't have to share anymore.

I know what you mean about missing Joan this weekend. This was my first Mother's Day without my Mom. I had a nice day with the girls, and Brent called from Texas, but it was just so strange. Something was missing.

I'm sorry you didn't get to see your girls this weekend but your up coming weekend sounds fun. Danielle has this week and 3 days next week then she's done with school too. She also has her dance recital this Saturday. So much going on at one time.

Looking forward to escaping to Disney in your report.

I was several updates behind---Crazy week for me, with it being graduation week!

I'm so sorry Bella lost her mingo. I will be sure to keep an eye out for it when I'm there in a few weeks!

Love those empty pics of MK on NYE. I do know that it probably didn't look like that for very long. "Those" other pics will be a lot scarier!

Poor Bella!! Poor Mingo, if only Mingo could write. He would definitely have quite a story to tell.

I wish I was going the same time to be apart of another big DIS meet. But then again, I'm not really going for Disney vacation "/

I dislike when the memory card gets full.

Tiana was very clever to leave Naveen at home. ;)

That Tiana is one smart cookie hiding her Naveen from you!!!

Was that some kind of bratwurst that John and Jill got? They certainly loaded it up! Looks like French Toast sticks too.

When is your last day of school?

I think it was just a link sausage dog piled with the rest of breakfast.

We have to go through next Friday.

HA! Tiana hiding Naveen...she totally knew you were in the park! ;)

I love, love, love Liberty Square, and the tree. I love history, so I love Liberty Square, and I live in one of the original thirteen colonies, so the tree is very cool to me.

I haven't been on Ostro Orbiter since...I'm not sure, our 2010 trip? Maybe? I'm not really afraid of heights, but something about that ride just freaks me out! I kept thinking I was going to fall out!

I want to make my way to the original colony states someday.

Heights don't bother me, either, but I wasn't crazy about the elevator adventure. I will have to have a do-over, though, with a full memory card!

Those Contemporary/BLT pictures just made me practically giddy! AHH love.

OH NO! Not the memory card! Did you have another one handy?

The ride was about to start, so there wasn't time to do anything. :sad2: I just enjoyed the ride and tried not to worry about it. I'll do it again sometime.

Do you wish you were staying in BLT right now and maybe eating at Contemporary this evening? :goodvibes

Wow i'm behind...life got in the way and I havent been on in ages....going back to catch up in the next few days. :)

Glad to have you! That sure is a sweet baby in your pictures. :cutie:

Ooooh Mingo. :( I'm sure he'll be found someday by a very confused CM! Aside from that, love the DIS meet! :thumbsup2

Do you recall where Jill and John went for those breakfast goodies? I have never seen the "sausage hot dog" with eggs on top before!

There is no telling what those cast members find!

Yes, I think they got that from Casey's.

Oh, I am the queen of dead batteries! Well, not dead batteries, but low batteries. Ask Jill - every time we get started good, I get the low battery warning. :sad2:

Yeah, I think that was at Casey's. I don't know if Jill had a bite of it or if she just ate the French toast. I'll try to find out what John thought of it and report back.

Seeing the characters in unique clothing is always fun. :)

Looking forward to escaping to Disney in your report.

It definitely was crowded when we left the parks from our early morning excursions.

Yay for a new laptop!

I will be leaving from school Thursday to go to Alabama. It just so happens that Friday is Field Day, so I will be missing that. Can't say I am sorry for that. ;) I am not even worried about how it will go for my class, either, because they guy who is subbing for me is a regular at our school and knows our kids and the campus quite well. His wife is our librarian, so he knows the school well. The kids won't be able to trick him into believing things I let them do, and they'll be too busy to get into trouble. :thumbsup2

I know teachers are busy right now, and it seems like a ton of other people are, as well. We have ballgames and dance recitals and plays and trips house moves and all kinds of things going on in DIStown!

Poor Bella!! Poor Mingo, if only Mingo could write. He would definitely have quite a story to tell.

I wish I was going the same time to be apart of another big DIS meet. But then again, I'm not really going for Disney vacation "/

I dislike when the memory card gets full.

Tiana was very clever to leave Naveen at home. ;)

How long do you get to stay when you go to Florida? Will you get some park time?

MeMom, I had to giggle about Drew not liking Asian but instead preferring Mexican. :rotfl: That is too funny! He likes what he likes! lol!

What a shame that Tiana made Naveen stay home. That was mean of her! :rolleyes1

Love, love, love your listing of the photos. I come back to your TR often for photos!

DH asks me everytime I leave the house with the camera if the battery is charged. I got a brand new camera last year right before we went to Tweetsie to see Thomas. I turned it on to take the first pic and no battery charge :(.

Interesting to see the noodle station open. It is always closed when we are there. I guess they only open during peak times.

I want to make my way to the original colony states someday.

Heights don't bother me, either, but I wasn't crazy about the elevator adventure. I will have to have a do-over, though, with a full memory card!

Well, you know I'll be waiting for you if you ever make your way to Massachusetts!

I would LOVE to see your pictures from that when you go on with a full memory card! I enjoyed the view but I was too afraid to hold a camera!

Oh, how I love The Liberty Tree Tavern. It is my favorite place to eat in all of WDW. I will be eating there in 15 days and I cannot wait.

I know teachers are busy right now, and it seems like a ton of other people are, as well. We have ballgames and dance recitals and plays and trips house moves and all kinds of things going on in DIStown!

My niece has her dance recital this weekend too. Wonder if she dances at the same place your girls do?

No frogs here, but I did have a kitten crawl into my engine several years ago, we assumed to get warm. :scared1: We didnt realize it of course and drove about half an hour home and then heard the meowing. It was fine and is still running around my aunt's house today. :thumbsup2

I had the same thing happen as a kid. We had that cat for years. :goodvibes

Anyone else who we are saying hello to, please chime in on the day and the approximate time of day - just morning, afternoon, or night. We can text closer to time for details.
I love hearing the first sounds of Spectro. :) It's so exciting, and watching it is the perfect way to end a Magic Kingdom day.

For the record here - Arriving on the 1st ( Sun ) and leaving on the 6th
(Friday) :goodvibes
Part of Ohana on the 3rd???

Your memory is fantastic...I am one little Diser in Dis-town. I logged into ********** to be at the Poly on this night to be with some Disfriends. I'm getting ahead...you may have several updates before the Poly.

Bummer about your camera card. I think the only reason to ride Astro Obitor is to get pictures.

Love the funfact- 13 lanterns for 13 colonies...

I need to find a way to reference the thousands of pictures that we have. When I read about someone who would like to see a particular resort, event, etc., I want to go right to the pictures to help them out.

Drew loves anything spicy. The spicier, the better. He must have a leather tongue, because a tiny bite of something he loves lights my mouth on fire. I don't see how he stands it!

I still got to see Naveen in the parade. ;)

Oh how I hate the dreaded memory card full message! Good thing you had another at the ready! :thumbsup2

If the ride was not starting, I would have had time to change, so I guess it was just meant to be that I rode the ride without pictures that time. Next time, I will be more prepared.

I have the worst time with batteries. They seem to run down so quickly.

Yes, I am sure the Noodle Station was open to try to alleviate some of the lines at Casey's and Main Street Bakery. I don't know how much it helped, as there weren't really many people there.

Well, you know I'll be waiting for you if you ever make your way to Massachusetts!

I would LOVE to see your pictures from that when you go on with a full memory card! I enjoyed the view but I was too afraid to hold a camera!

If we get to Mass, we will hope to have you as our tour guide. ::yes::

I put the wrist strap on and just go for it on rides. Looking back on the ToT or BTMR or other ride pictures is fun. :)

Oh, how I love The Liberty Tree Tavern. It is my favorite place to eat in all of WDW. I will be eating there in 15 days and I cannot wait.

I wish they would bring the characters back, though. They were cute in their colonial garb. I think it would be a big draw. Maybe they could just have them for a few hours a day.

Lucky you to get this extra trip in, and  for two weeks! It'll be five for us on Saturday!

My niece has her dance recital this weekend too. Wonder if she dances at the same place your girls do?

Good possibility. This is a big dance place. PM Jill and get the details.

I had the same thing happen as a kid. We had that cat for years. :goodvibes

For the record here - Arriving on the 1st ( Sun ) and leaving on the 6th
(Friday) :goodvibes
Part of Ohana on the 3rd???

I don't know if you and Jill will cross paths. What time do you arrive? She has to leave that day.

Ask Anita about 'Ohana. Katie had an ADR, but had to cancel the trip. I don't know if she gave Anita her ADR spot, too, or what is going on with that. Brooklynn and I can bow out, too, of we need to. She's not going to eat, anyway, so we could eat at Captain Cook's and meet you guys after the meal.

Your memory is fantastic...I am one little Diser in Dis-town. I logged into ********** to be at the Poly on this night to be with some Disfriends. I'm getting ahead...you may have several updates before the Poly.

Love the funfact- 13 lanterns for 13 colonies...

Since Dave has started putting the camera up over the door, you can't see or hear things on the beach as well. I think he felt it was safer up there, and the view to the castle is spectacular, of course. In the daytime, you can see, but at night, the lighting just doesn't do well if you are sitting in the grassy area. He is so nice to do that year after year to bring Disney happiness to those at home!

I'll need a repeat ride on Astro Orbiter for pictures, and then I'll be good for another several years. Or until Bella wants to go on it.

Spending a little time in the Old West.

A bit crowded back this way.

That's it for this morning. Have a good day, all. I get to start my day with an irate parent who called after school yesterday. Her son supposedly got stabbed with a metal fork (which we don't use) in the cafeteria, and his finger is torn to pieces. He did not say a thing to the cafeteria ladies. He didn't say a thing to me when I picked them up from lunch, and I never saw him do as much as get a wet paper towel to put on it. And no one else saw it, because believe me, I would have five students jumping on me as soon as they saw me trying to be first to tell me about it. The mother was hoppin' mad at the little girl who did it and wants her to be in the office in the morning when she gets there.

Yeah, that's gonna happen. :rolleyes2 :sad2:

She has several children at our school, and she says she gets a call every time they do any little thing, yet we let someone stab her son and nothing is done about it.

Anyway, should be an interesting start to the day. :)

Good morning MeMom. It does not sound like your day is going to start off so good.

Loved walking through Frontierland with you this morning.:goodvibes

They have some really cute pins. Did you buy any??

Full memory card-I hate that when that happens. I had a 16gb in my camera this time so I was all set.

I LOVE the Walt Disney World spelled out in pins!!! So cute!!

Good luck with the mom this morning!! I worked at a preschool for 3 years. The kids were great, but I left because I couldnt handle the parents. :confused3

Thanks for starting my Wed morning off in FrontierLand!!
