All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Yay! Summer dates are booked!

I am waiting for dh to pick vacation at work...he is one of the last to pick, so I have to wait through Feb.

I love the picture of you on TOT! I hold on for my life! :lmao:

My girls each have only two shirts from Disney: both are from TOT. I think Hannah really wanted one of the ones you snapped. They didn't have it small enough, so we helped her move beyond her pouting to select another.

Well I'm not on the Dis all that much these days and look at all the excitement I have missed!!

Congrats Jill and gang on your addition!! (and although I know you didn't post the TMI post on FB, I did stop and do the math :lmao:)

I also hadn't heard Anita and Marc are getting another grandbaby.

Lots of excitement in Distown :thumbsup2

The pictures of HS make me feel better. We leave in 16 days:cool1::cool1::cool1:

First time Presidents Week and most days are 10's:scared1::scared1:

They've added lots of early mornings so I'll need to take advantage of it. Hopefully, the rest of the troops agree:)1

OMg proof this flu is affecting my brain. I totally forgot to share. My husband has a little theater/stage fighting group that he runs and they were hired to perform at this swanky (do people still use "swanky") fundraiser here on Sat night. He came home to tell me DeVine was there!! Apparently she and the living statue guys who used to be in Italy ( i think) are owned separately from Disney and their company was hired for this party. I was sooo jealous that he (the disney-hating part of this couple) got that unexpected dose of Disney. He apparently had quite the conversation with them and even he had to admit they were cool.

Any little touch of Disney is nice. :thumbsup2
We are very excited to hear that The Disney Store is coming back to Opry Mills Mall when it reopens in the spring. At least, that is what the website is saying. They closed all three of our stores here within about a year and a half, so I'll believe it when I really see it.

Hope each day finds you feeling better. I didn't have the flu, but whatever coldish thing I had kept me feeling down for a little over a week.

Work, school and preschool have gotten in the way of my DIS time in the worst way...I didn't anticipate this semester starting out so crazy!

Wow, those early morning EMH are worth it. You would never guess that was the day after Christmas in Disney World!

Glad you have your next trip booked; I am hoping to start planning for next year sometime around my birthday in April. I'm actually ready to now, but I think I should give the rest of my family a little time.

We only have two trips planned for 2012, but one is a long trip, we have a new baby coming, we'll have the usual church camp and the girls' activities, and there is an early school start next year, so I think the year will really be full and go fast. It does help, too, knowing that I do have plans to go back next spring break. I am hoping our friend, Kay, can go again. I want Jill and the girls to go, too, but if they can't, we can just do one of our 'old lady' trips where we do different things - see all the World Showcase movies and things that we don't tend to do when we have the girls - and not lots of rides.

He probably won't get the week of the 4th, then, if he is one of the last. I would think that would be a popular week to want off.

I am almost always taking pictures on ToT. I usually have both hands ont he camera, but this time my left arm was going between the camera and holding Brooklynn down. Next time I ride it with her, I will focus the camera on her and see her real reactions along the way.

I'm glad Hannah got another shirt. They have some fun ones in the Philharmagic gift shop.

Yep, we'll keep our DIStown construction workers busy. :goodvibes

Everyone is busy these days. Glad you got to check in for a minute. :)

Yay for you! :dance3: You won't regret going early. They can nap in the middle of the day.

Did you see that the Opry Mills website listed Disney Store as coming back??? :woohoo: We will see if it is really true in a little over 50 days. :wizard:

JUNE/JULY TRIP PEOPLE: Are you available for a DIS meet on the 29th or 30th of June? Maybe we can do Jungle Cruise or Small World. I want to get the most people together as possible before Jill has to leave. There is no committment for a long time - just a meet and ride. Throw in your ideas, please.

A meet sounds like fun!! IASW sounds great, but I am open for other ideas also. We will be arriving the 28th so either date will work for us.
Hope everyone has a great day today. I am ready for the weekend already. I had a leadership conference yesterday and it has exhausted me still. I am not about getting out of my comfort zone and that was what it was about all afternoon. Ugh.

Neither Christine nor Christina are in the top modern names, so I am surprised they had either. I always expect Jessica and Ashley and those kinds of names, but it is fun to read all of the ones they have on all the different things. I doubt we will ever find a Brooklynn with double nn at the end.

I hope you don't get the cold I had. It's almost gone now, so I'd say it was about ten days long. Too long.

I know a few Christina's(usually spelled Kristina), but I've only met a couple other Christine's, and they're both my mom's age. I think there was one other Christine in my high school when I was a freshman. It's definitely not a popular name in my generation.

Well I didn't catch your cold, but I caught something  I wasn't feeling very well last night and my temperature was a tiny bit over normal. I really didn't feel well this morning but I dragged myself to school...and then I had car issues :faint: I made it to school but my car just felt like it wasn't driving right on the highway. It didn't start until I was over half way to school, and it only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to scare me. If I hadn't been so close to campus I probably would've just turned around and gone home. Hopefully I make it home without any issues. I knew I should've just stayed in bed today :rotfl: But I called my dad, who is a mechanic, and he thinks it'll be fine. (editing this a few hours later: I made it home without any issues :worship:)

On the bright side, since it's now February, I can say I'm going to Disney next month :yay:

It'll be our longest stay yet at 13 days, but I still bet I will leave some things not checked off of my list.

That sounds about right!
Coming from the UK we always take long trips, anywhere between 10 and 14 days, but I always come away with ideas for next time :)
We plan on a long trip once every couple of years and actually became DVC owners last summer to fit around this plan.
We're already booked for the summer :cool1: and I've been thinking about our plans and researching on the Dis and elsewhere - I've made a list!!
I like to seek out new ideas and I can think of lots of non-park fun for you to fill your time with!

We leave the morning of the 29th so we wouldn't be able to meet then but as long as we have our earlier in the week OKW meet, I'll be fine. No rain this time!!:goodvibes

Ellie didn't like ToT because she said she felt like she was going to fall out of her seat. I offered to do a better job of holding her in but so far she isn't interested in riding again. My niece and her hubby are going with us this June and he won't ride it so nothing can convince her now!

Stacy, I'll just throw this out there....
We check into the Beach Club on the 27th. How about a meet over there for some pool time on the 28th? We can see if that works out for Jill and her crew as well....

Two more days, and you can crash! Unless you don't work on Fridays, as some doctors. Then it's only one more day until you can crash. :woohoo:

What time will you get there on the 28th? Wigd is saying something about coming over to Beach Club. Maybe a Beaches & Cream milkshake meet?

I hope your car and your health are both doing very well this morning. :goodvibes

It most indeed is February. January was not horrible this year. February would be much nicer if we had a March Disney trip, of course, but maybe it will be tolerable, too. :thumbsup2

I'll take all of your ideas. I know we can resort hop and do crafts at the deluxe resorts, and Brooklynn will be happy with that. We might see a movie or do mini-golf, and I know we will spend time in DTD. We will go to AKL to see animals, because she loves that. Well, we love that. ;) She loves dinosaurs, so we might eat at T-Rex, but that's only a maybe because she does't like loud noises. She prefers quiet dinosaurs.

We'll do OKW, for sure, and Wigd is trying to whip up a Beach Club time, as well. If we can't invade Beaches & Cream, we could always get food and go sit in the very beautiful solarium inside. There is plenty of room in there.

Ellir will probably ride again someday. The policy with Brooklynn has been to try it once, and then after that she can decided if/when she goes again. It has worked so far. She has never gone onto a ride kicking and screaming. She's been up for the try it once idea, so I hope the same works with Bella.

Count me in if we are there that week...Once I know, I can join in the planning.

We will keep you posted on the 'happenings' that week. :goodvibes

Or if some don't want pool time or can't stay, maybe we could grab quick lunches or ice cream and go inside and eat. We are at least narrowing down some times that will work for people, so we'll keep going with ideas. It's always nice when lots of DISers can meet at once, I think. It's fun for me to watch people who have 'talked' on the reports meet face to face.

Sustained with muffiny goodness, we moved on.

Where are we standing?

That was in front of the Buzz and Woody Meet & Greet.

Our little space rangers.

Away she goes!!!

Woody looks like he means business in Lasso Law.

I bet those comic books provided a lot of excitement for a nickel. :)

Hello, Buzz.

IMG_6370.jpg

No Bella, as you can see.

This was one of the 'hold sister's hand' times.

A little wary at first.

Then a nice smile.

I am a Toy Story fan, so I like this little outdoor gift shop.

Great update!! Love the Toy Story meet and greet area. The picture of Brooklynn and Bella is wonderful!!! Bella has such a cute little smile and sassy pose :thumbsup2

Chloe really liked meeting Buzz and Woody - we have great pictures of them playing with her and her Tigger.

I have to admit, on this rainy morning, I would much rather be at Hollywood Studios.

The Toy Story photo ops are so cute! It's nice to see that you can be entertained in line!

The girls are precious. I can't blame Bella for being wary of the big plastic guy!

Very cute meet and greet pics! Isn't that the cutest little area? And yay for Bella being a big girl with a 'non face character'! Those are a little harder to adjust to I suppose. It will be interesting to see the personality of baby number 3, and if you guys have to coax him/her along with the characters. Here's hoping for a very outgoing spirit! ;)

I guess we've not spent much time in that area other than rushing to TSMM! Those are so cute!
I'm glad Bella decided to visit Buzz!

I'm still here following along, just real life getting in the way of Disney dreaming:rolleyes:
I love your last lot of photo's. The one of Brooklynn and Bella with Buzz is super cute. Bella looks so confident standing next to her big sis! That grin on her face is like " look at me all brave eh!"

MeMom can you tell me if Pop still has the fozen Coke? I am still way behind on your report so i'm not sure if this information is in there. We will be staying at Pop again in August and thought at one point they did not have them anymore. Pop is a favorite of mine too so I love seeing all the pictures!

Blast off Brooklynn!!!!!
That picture is a scream.

Buzz is giant, I don't blame Bella for being a little intimidated by him.
