I just realized that will be getting a Disney fix on Friday when we take Harper and Megan to Disney live! http://disney.go.com/disneylive/ !

Now we just need to figure out if we take one princess dress or all three!

We bought these tickets back in the fall and I had forgotten about them. I hope Baylor isn't too sad that he declined the chance to go...

I booked our trip for next Christmas this morning. John gave me the ok to book it a few weeks ago but I was still contemplating it. Then I saw your pictures of that castle and couldn't wait for it to be today so my 11 month window would open! We are going the 21st-27th. I'm loving that we will be there Christmas morning and still have 5 days off once we come home.

It would be easy to get spoiled to going during the off-season. I really like going when everything is not so blazing hot, too, like in October or December or March, but summer is the time when we can take the most days, so we deal with the heat and the afternoon thunderstorms and the crowds for those trips. With the way so many schools are spreading out the calendars now, there are not too many weeks in a year, I bet, that Disney World is really, really slow.

What grade or subject do you want to teach?

I'm not sure what I would want to teach. I have been subbing at my son's elementary school (almost full time) for the last 5 years. Hopefully that experience will help me land a job should I choose to look for one. Maybe I'll just keep subbing--I know from my long term jobs that full time teaching is a ton of work!

Disney on Ice will be a lot of fun. Maybe Harper can choose one favorite outfit for the day. I'm guessing there will be enough football, basketball, baseball, or something on TV to occupy Baylor while he's not at Disney on Ice.

I turned my shower into a temporary sauna - just stood there with hot water pouring down to try to open up my head. It felt so good! I've been sleeping in between my coughing and snorting.

Christmas will be so much fun for you! Having the time after the trip will be nice. I wish it had worked out for us to do it that way. I got my relaxing time before the trip, but if I could have had it exactly how I wanted, I would have reversed that.

At least I don't have to be around anyone right now and annoy them, too.

I guess it depends on the difference in pay and benefits vs. the extra effort/paperwork/headaches of full-time teaching. Subbing sounds good to me right now, if I had that option. Your district is probably a lot different than mine, though.

After seeing the castle lighting, we headed toward Crystal Palace to meet Wigd and crew.

I'm guessing you have all seen this guy.

He was playing Christmas songs.

Brooklynn decided she was going to take a picture of John, so she began posing him.

She decided he would be in the straightjacket pose for her picture.

We got word to meet our DIS pals.

Anita came with glowy things.

Harper was asleep both times we saw her on this trip.

After visiting with them for a few minutes, we shopped our way back to the front of the park.

We had only stayed for about an hour or so, but it was nice to say we were in Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day.

Our Friday night is not Disney on Ice, it's three classic fairy tales! Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Snow White all live on Stage and the hosts are Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy!
(that's why I gave you the link) I wondered if you had seen anything like it before....
We just got this fancy new arena here in our area and are getting all kinds of attractions that have never come our way before!

It was sure fun seeing you all that evening! Most of our crew had that Disney glaze in their eyes since it was several of their first trips and there we were right by the castle getting ready for our first sit-down dining experience. One thing I noticed right away was that Bella had lost her shyness towards me, finally!!! Brook was her normal cheerful self!

Since I won't get around to writing a report on our trip since I am buried under homework on my master's program, if you don't mind I'd love to share our family video over here if folks haven't had the chance to see it on FB...

UGH..I know I posted on Page 3 but for some reason it didn't take and I'd completely forgotten about the new TR until Jill posted about an update on her FB page today.

Pat told me the Mingo story at lunch the other day. Poor Bella and poor Mingo.

Other than the temporary (thank goodness!) setbacks, looks like the trip got off to a great start...Christmas Day in the Magic Kingdom and meeting up with good friends! Love the picture of Brooklynn getting her camera bag inspected...such a big girl!

So when I finally caught up on the summer trip, guess what I found??!!

AND it was ONLY 14 PAGES long!!!!! By MeMom and Jill TR standards, that isn't too bad considering!!! SO I am committed to staying on track with this one! Unlike the summer TR which I was always woefully behind!!!! At least until our cruise in February!!! WHICH is only 4 nights, so hopefully I won't get so behind... Snowy Icy weather helped to keep me sitting by the fireplace all day!!! LOL!!!
