If we receive a bounceback offer while there this year in Sept, WE ARE BOOKING IT!!!! (that is if an offer ever comes out for this year)

I was there last Sept free dining and I just put the bounceback aside not knowing what would happen the following year, etc. I thought if you paid a deposit it was NON-REFUNDABLE. While, thanks to these boards, I know it is refundable up to a certain time, so I am kicking myself hard for not just booking it!!!

I hear that! I was there last September without DH, but did have the bounceback offer in my room. I called him and told him about this great offer that I could book for the next fall and he told me he absolutely didn't want to go this year. Well low and behold here we are going this October. I should have just not said anything and booked it. Talk about kicking yourself!

I agree! We didn't book it last year b/c free dining 'always' comes out and now I am kicking myself. I dont know why we didn't book we always go in September and its not like we couldn't cancel if we needed too. Stupid, stupid, stupid me.

We have done the bounceback I think the last three years in a row. I think this year, more than ever, it appears there is no guarantee as to what discounts Disney will or will not offer from year to year. At least with the bounceback offer, you are at least guaranteed the same discount that you have this year. And for reference, we usually go in Sept or Oct, and there have been bounceback offers in our room as long as I can remember during those months. Here's hoping we all get them this year as well!!

I did book bounceback last August, and now it looks like we can't go! I am sad, especially given the number of people who want free dining so badly and are afraid that they won't get it. I hope it works out for everyone else though. (I'm not cancelling until the very last minute in case things change, $ wise in our house!)

I stayed OKW last year also and don't recall seeing a bounce back offer, nor did I know about it until I found DIS this year, but I will book if they are offering this November when I am there for Sureeeeeeee!

I royally screwed up, and didn't book a bounceback after our March 2010 trip. I'm thinking about going down for a weekend in October for the sole purpose of getting a bounceback for March 2011. Is this nuts?

There was actually a bounceback in our room last year for a percent off the room rate - and I'm kicking myself for not booking that!

Question, though, if you book the bounceback, and then need to change the week that you're going, can you "reapply" the bounceback to the new week? For example, I probably would have booked the last week in August last year, but now we want to go first week of September since the school calendar has changed. Would I be able to do that, or do you have to stick with the week you booked??

I'm another person kicking myself about the bounceback. We didn't book because we did not know the school calendar for this year yet. We always try to go during a week there is a teacher's workday so the kids miss 4 days.

It never occurred to me to book and then change the dates if necessary.

We booked BB last year and I"m so glad we did.

For those who are wondering if you can change your dates once you've booked YES, YOU CAN! We booked for the first week of Sept and then decided in January we wanted to bump it back a week. I called and was transferred to someone in Grand Gatherings - she said they were the folks that deal with BB changes. Anyway changed the dates with no problem - we still have the same reservation number and everything.

So yes, it can be done and it's easy!

If its nuts then we will be nuts together because that is exactly what Ive been thinking of doing.

We already know that we have a family trip planned for Oct 2011 so DH & I are thinking of going this fall just for a few days for our anniversary and hoping the bounceback offer will cover our time frame for the family trip.

what happens if you dont see a flyer in your room before you check out can you go to the front desk and ask to book under a bounceback or ask about it last year when we were there we did not see one in our room
