We got an unexpected $800 check from escrow today (just refinanced at the beginning of the month) for property taxes, etc. so guess what we did???

We paid off the car!!!

:thumbsup2 :cool1: :goodvibes

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Next up is the $4,000.00 credit card.

We are doing a somewhat modified Dave Ramsey. Not following his plan to a "T", but following it a bit by the snowball, $1000 in savings, and when the credit card is gone, we will start an emergency fund.

However, we are still going to Las Vegas in January (trip is paid for already) and will be saving up for spending money.

And my son is still going to camp in a week (at the tune of $260) as I cannot deny him that fun time with his peers. I see it as a growing experience for him and it is something he truly loves.

So we are not totally following his plan, as if we were, there would be no camp or Vegas vacations.

But thanks to some extra cash and us working our tails off de-cluttering and ebaying and taking stuff to the local auction house, we are doing great!

The refinance helped a lot, as we got an overage from that (not intentional - it is just the way it happened) and the money from escrow.

Yay!!!

Ummmmm....YES!!!! Congrats :thumbsup2

Sounds like ya'll are doing GREAT! And I agree everyone deserves a little reward now and then :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

I love that "paid OFF" feeling!
