I am interested to see what happens today.

But, I don't know how great of a test it will be if they are only planning to do it today as a one day only test.

I will be waiting for the first blog or report to come from the park. I am most interested in finding out sb times first thing in the morning. The FP+ people and rope droppers will be at an advantage today for sure. While the day tickets/offsite are standing in line trying to get fp, I am sure the lines will be low. Unless, of course, one person stands in the fp and does for whole family while the rest ride? But I still have to wonder how many people going to AK, who have used fp- before, today even know about the change. While we at the Disboards seem to think we are in the majority, I doubt seriously that we are!

But, I don't know how great of a test it will be if they are only planning to do it today as a one day only test.

It looks as though the info that it is to only be a one-day test was inaccurate.

Most indications are that this will be ongoing... maybe through the busy Christmas week (or beyond.)

AK had EMH scheduled this morning, regular park opening at 9. As of 9:20 this morning EE had a 4 minute wait and Safaris was 6 minutes. I hope people aren't fooling around trying to make FP+ ressies when they could be riding without a line. Or maybe that's why there is no line?

Keep in mind that today also has AM EMH at DAK.

So, onsite guests taking advantage of that have an additional head start.

AM EMH at DAK is a perfect opportunity for an onsite guest to arrive early and ride the headliners right away, including EE multiple times with short lines. There would still be time to see a show or two and walk the trails and be out of the park by early afternoon, saving FP+ for later in the day at a different park.

Disney may have chosen to start the test today because they saw that there were not that many advance reservations for FP+ at DAK and they knew there would be a lot of availability, especially when they throw the whole FP- allotment into the pool.

At this time of year you have to expect temperatures around 50 early in the morning.

Blizzard Beach has been closed the last 2 days because of cold weather. I'm pretty sure 60 degrees in Wisconsin feels like a summer time high temp.

2 hours now of 5 min waits, hope folks kept their FP+ ressies for a different park later today/tonight.

Yesterday, around 9 AM, it was 12 degrees at my house.

I'm JONESING for 60 degree mornings (and would be perfectly happy with 55), and hoping we get a couple during our trip in about 3 weeks....
