All AKV experts?? HELP??

HI!
We are getting ready to try for our very first ressie at AKV. I understand the concierge category, but can anyone thoroughly explain the difference between VALUE, STANDARD, and SAVANNA view. I thought I read recently in a trip report of a value room, but they still had a view of the animals?? Or am I confused?? Thanks in advance for any input you could give.

Value rooms are about 3ft shorter then standard rooms and have either a pool view or savanna view. You can request a savanna view, but no guarentees. A standard view can be pool or parking lot, savanna is just that. The value rooms are only in Jamba house.

Some of the rooms at Jambo House are values. They are smaller than a standard view room. I read that it had something to do with the fact that they were hotel rooms that were converted to DVC rooms.

You can book a value room but all those rooms have different views--pool, or savannah.

Kidani does not have value rooms. Standard view and savannah view rooms here are separate booking categories (and different points) so your view is guaranteed.

With the values, you COULD end up on the savannah and can request that (I think?), but there is no guarantee.

There are a couple of value units that have parking lot views but they are the minority. Just so you know it could be a possibility. The value 1 and 2 bedrooms sleep one less than other category 1 & 2 bedrooms b/c there isn't enough room for the sleeper chair.

Also, all of the standard views at Jambo have pool view. The standard views at Kidani can have pool or garden/parking views.

We had a value studio last summer. Knowing that the Value rooms had no real guarantee on the view I had orig. requested a savanna view just as a "maybe we'll get lucky" when I made the ressie but we got there early (Noonish) and it was going to be awhile b4 they had any of those studios ready. The girl said she could give us a pool view in about 30 min. so I said that was fine. Rather just get settled in. Here was our "pool view"

You have to admit that's pretty funny that they call that a "pool view" 'cuz it's on the same side of the building as the pool. I was like "oh well". This is what we get for booking a value and being in a hurry.

I knew that there would be a bunch of AKV experts out there!
Thanks so much! I think I will definitely use the points to have the animals outside due to fact that DS7 and DD3 would probably have a melt down if not. They totally equate AKV with watching the animals from the balcony. Down the road though I would probably be willing to roll the dice. Annie, I couldn't see your pictures, but hopefully, they will come up--I'd love to see the "pool" view you got.
