All Aboard! The Great Land and Sea Getaway - May 2009 PTR

Congrats on saving all that money, the changes sound great!

Went on a major shopping spree today, spent $350! I think I may return some of the stuff though. I really need to go through my closet and sort through what I already have and plan out what I want to take on the trip. What is throwing me off is the meals on the cruise. You are supposed to dress "cruise casual" and then there is formal night and semi-formal night as well. I don't want to be underdressed and be one of "those people".

For $350 I got 7 tops, a dress for formal night, some undergarments and some Clinique moisturizing lotion.

I also looked at an Olympus waterproof camera, it is $300 though and then I would have to but a special memory card as Olympus cameras only work with their own cards so that would be another $40. Not sure it is worth it. Mom and I may just have to take turns in the water while the other stays on the beach and babysits the camera.

Great shopping trip! What are you thinking about returning?
Gotta keep the Clinique. I love that line of products. Gotta keep the waterproof camera. I'm thinking of getting one myself.

Haven't actually bought the camera yet, just played around with it in the store.

Gotta keep the Clinique and undergarments, those are necessities. So that pretty much leaves the shirts. Do I really need 8 new shirts? Probably not!

Well folks, tonight is the night, the night where all my dreams will be realized or crushed.

My excursion booking window opens up at midnight so I will be staying up late tonight so that I can log on as soon as the clock hist 12 in order to snap up my desired excursions. I am sooooo nervous that I won't get what I want. :scared:

In order of priority this is the order that I am going to book them in

1) Trunk Bay
2) The Baths
3) Palo brunch/dinner

I figure Trunk Bay is my top priority as there is only one excursion there so it runs the risk of being booked up first. Now from what I can tell a lot of the people on our cruise are repeat cruisers and are planning on doing their own thing on the island that day so I am hopeful. :goodvibes

The Baths has two excursion options so I am not as worried about that because if I don't get the one that I want I can hopefully get the other.

Palo brunch has a high possibility of being fully booked but they always save some spots for on ship booking so if I don't get that tonight I will just go to the reservation desk first thing when we board the ship. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a successful shopping trip :thumbsup2

Good luck getting everything you want tonight!

I returned all but 1 item I got at Old Navy. But I ordered more...I hate anything tight. My husband told me the tops fit fine. Hmm! Better luck shopping!

:woohoo: :cool1:  :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

I got both of the excursions that I wanted and dinner at Palo (even though I really wanted brunch).

I am so excited!

Here are some pictures I stole from photobucket of the places we will be visiting:

Doesn't it all look just heavenly? :cloud9:

I haven't given up on getting the Palo brunch yet either, I am going to head to the reservation desk first thing when we board the ship and see if I can't snatch one of the few ressies they save for onboard booking.
