ALK Jambo house to Disney Camp ground and back to AKL

We are wanting to go to the campground during our stay at the WDW Resort and will be staying at AKL Jambo House. We want to go for the night time movie, chararter sing along and smores that they have there. Ive been to it before but from Pop Century. What is the best way to get there using Disney transportation? I will have a scooter so that needs to be considered. I was thinking maybe going to DTD and catching a bus to and from the campground but kind of wanted to take a boat ride if there is one that can accomodate a scooter. We will be there at night so I need to know where is the best stop if we take a bus. The last time we ended up walking forever (or in my case rolling lol) and waiting forever for a bus which took us to Coranado Springs and then waiting for another bus to DTD and then back to Pop Century. There has to be a better way to get there from AKL!! So if you are a transportation whiz please help!!

If MK is still open, then the best way to Fort Wilderness is to take a bus from AKL to Magic Kingdom, then the boat from MK to Fort Wilderness.

This will place you at the Settlement area. You can then walk/roll towards the trading post and Pioneer Hall and can either take the center sidewalk through the campground to the movie/campfire area, or take the Orange Outpost bus and get off at 900 Loop then head towards the campfire/movie.

To return, you have a few choices. If the MK is still open, you can go back to the Marina (drive your scooter, or take an Orange Settlement bus) and catch a boat to MK, then a bus to AKL.

Also, at approximately 9:30pm and 11:30pm, there are buses at the Settlement bus stop going to the various resorts. They are primarily to provide transportation for guests leaving the Hoop De Doo dinner show, but anyone showing up and stating their resort destination will be given a ride. You will share with other resorts, but no transferring.

Your third choice is to take a bus from the Outpost bus stop, going to DTD, then taking another bus to AKL.

To get to the Outpost bus stop from the movie, head to the road BEHIND the pool (Big Pine Drive) and go to the bus stop at Loop 1500. Then take a Yellow Outpost bus.

You can also continue on sidewalks from the campfire/movie out to the Outpost on your scooter.

(We ride DHs electric scooter through the campground all the time. Sure beats loading and unloading on the internal buses.)

We did as clkelley suggested when we went and took the bus from AKL to MK, then the boat from MK to the campground.
