Alias Final Episode Tonight 9pm to 11pm Can't wait!

Now, here's a question - I didn't watch last season (figured the show wouldn't start until January this season and I'd be able to watch all of Season 4 on dvd before 5 started) so is the black CIA agent that killed Vaughn really a CIA agent? Was he on the show last season? If I remember correctly, Sydney was looking for this guy on tonight's episode (which was the whole reason they were searching for the guy that threw himself out of the airplane)...I guess he's a baddie?!?!?

He wasn't from last season. Someone correct me if I was wrong, but didn't they say last week he was listed as a "dead" CIA agent and he is rogue?

You know the man from the Russian Embassy that Sydney "killed" when she was Julia? The guy she went down in the Rimbaldi hole and he had his finger(s) cut off. This could tie the Covenant to Prophet 5 and lead Sark into the story.

Was the girl on the patio/balcony, who took the call from the bad guy, the same girl who is the new female APO agent? DH and I couldn't tell. Undercover, maybe? But they don't know who they are dealing with so that doesn't seem logical.

We thought she was the same girl on the computer from last week's show who found Vaughn in Italy for the bad CIA guy. We watched that part again and it doesn't appear to be her. Even more

Is it too out there for Alias? I don't think so! I was talking to my friend and she thinks that Rambaldi himself is in the box and he concocted this whole thing hundreds of years ago in order to bring himself back when the time was right. Personally, I think that would be a great storyline.

I also thought it was the same girl. In the preview for next week, they essentially state that this new CIA girl can't really be trusted and doesn't follow the rules...We'll see.

Personally, I'm liking this season. I think I'm the one person in the world who likes the idea that they "killed off" Vaughn. Somebody in the CIA world had to die one of these days. To me, Vaughn was always kind of blah anyway (then again, as a guy, I don't fawn over him like all you ladies). I was much more upset when Francie and Will were written off the show.

Well, with the introduction tonight of this cryogenically frozen guy, my guess is that Vaughn, although maybe "dead" isn't really "dead." This cryogenic/nuclear thing will bring Vaughn back...just wait.

RyMickey ~ OMG!!! This is totally what I think too!! (posted this on another thread!!) As soon as Vaughn died, I said to DH "he's not dead... you watch" and DH was like... "you are way too into this show honey" But seriously, I just don't believe he's off the show for good. It would be a very "ALIAS like" way to bring him back later on in the season!

If MV is no longer billed as starring on the show, it means he's no longer a contract regular on the show, (as people were hoping here last week,) that he actually isn't dead. While he may return for flashbacks or something, it would be as a Special Guest Star or something.

You notice, last episode, the season premiere, Weiss, Greg Grunberg, is listed as Special Guest Star, not as a regular for this season's shows, until he leaves. That's because they didn't renew his contract as a season regular. But they have been billing the two new agents, even though they haven't been introduced into the storyline yet, because contractually, they have been hired to STAR for the whole 5th season, regardless of what episode they actually start appearing.

I still don't think it means anything really except they removed his name from the credits. If Vaughn is alive, I don't think we will see him for quite sometime, like until the second to last episode.

Even Michael Vartan currently not being a contract regular doesn't really effect Vaughn's status either. The show wants viewers to think Vaughn is dead, JJ and CO are well aware that viewers will be checking the credits for Vartan's name. It is easy enough to remove them until they decide if Vaughn will show up again this season.

This week was the 1st week with the full opening and both new characters were introduced as well.

Yes the credits may tell us something about Vartan's contract status but they could have just as easily removed the name to keep us guessing.

I think it's all the same girl. A spoiler I read will say she has something in common with Sydney. I think that she was recruted into the bad Prophet 5 organization the same way Sydney was recruted into SD-6.

At SD-6 Sydney thought she was working for black ops CIA not a terrorist cell. I have a feeling this girl will be the same way, she's currently working for the 'bad' guys but thinks she's on the 'good' team. I can't imagine them welcoming her into APO any other way unless they make her an Lauren like double agent (which for the record, I would HATE. Lauren was the worst!).

As for the body, I think it is Vaughn or his father.

One thing I really loved about Alias Season 1 is the contrast between her SD-6 life and her home life with her friends. They moved away from that and the show has really been suffering. I think they need to introduce some friends into Sydney's life that can fill that role. Maybe with having a baby she'll need a new nanny or something...I'd like to see the personal side of Sydney again, the side that is not all about the CIA....and I know this will never happen, but I LOVED WILL! I would love it if he came back into the picture esp. now that MV is out. I know that wont happen b/c he's on his own show now (kitchen confidential) but I can always hope.

I'm also bummed that Weiss is leaving...I really liked his character too.

you know, I always had a hard time deciding if I hated Lauren, or if I loved to hate Lauren.....wouldn't want her back though for sure....

yeah, I remember, well I sorta remember because I can't remember exactly which one it was....but on one of my ABC soaps, the actor was removed almost overnight from the opening credits because they "died" and I am sure that it was to make everyone think that they were really dead.....and like 2 weeks later, after the reveal that they weren't...yes, you guessed it, back on credits. I remember thinking at the time, nice try folks, but I never believed it.

Ok, what happened with Sloane (sp?)? Is he going to be evil again because some bad guy got him released? I'm not quite sure what happended. Who got him released? A bad guy? Now Sloane owes him?

So we will find out whose in the box next week. I hope it's exciting and not a let down. WHo do you think it is?

This is what I said to my dh, that I think the new girl is to replace Jen if she decides to leave. I saw a picture of Vaughn with Jen on the set filming. Boy is she big! She's not doing the stunts, they have a couple of stunt doubles for her now, you can tell too if you have Tivo and do it in slomo!

Hello! New to this thread but my love for Alias is not new! I'm the geek looking for hidden 47's in each episode, who hosts a party every time the show is on, etc. I'm glad I found you guys!

OK, can I post an off the wall idea? Syd doesn't seem to be sad. Not even at the funeral. She doesn't want to be alone, but doesn't seem to cry for MV. I think she knows he's alive. I think they were all in it and staged his get away. Since her dad loves her so much, I think he orchestrated it somehow.

I bet the cryogenic thing is related, as others have said. That seems kind of lame to me and I hope they come up with something more creative than that.

I think somehow even Marshall is in on it. None of them are really sad to have lost their dear friend. I don't know... maybe the time lapse (what was it, 6 months or so?) makes us assume they grieved off camera. Maybe that's really why Weiss left too and he's REALLY involved because he's actually with MV.

Maybe this has already been posted. Maybe it's nuts. It just seems like something's not right, and I don't think it can be explained by simply trying to get the audience to move on from being Vaughn lovers. I mean, she talked about Danny for several seasons!

How on Earth can we wait for 2 more weeks?! I'm going nuts looking for spoilers. None are coming out!!

I saw the pics on the net with MV and SB now that's back on the set. I'm anxious to find out if he's playing himself or not, or if it was a dream sequence. Since they were in white, I can see how it might be a dream, especially being barefoot on the beach. Of course, I can only hope that it was a wedding along the lines of a Sloan and Emily reunion on the beach, with the sentiment that they had DONE IT, were free and had fooled everyone in order to be together.

Now, before I make you all throw up with all the love talk I have to say that I didn't want them to ever put SB and MV together in the first place. I wanted she show to be a SPY show. But, they DID put them together and I want a better resolution that what we got.

Anyhow, this season is killing me. There aren't enough regulars right now. Let's hope MV and EW come back soon, not to mention a quick glance at Irena, Sark or WILL.

No but I love me some Sark. While I loved Syd and Vaughn, I always hoped for a little Syd/Sark action.

mommyoeo - I don't think your theory is crazy at all. Wouldn't suprise me one bit if they went that direction. I'm hoping the spoiler photos of MV and JG aren't a dream sequence. I totally want Vaughn alive and under deep cover investigating Prophet 5. I also wouldn't be suprised if Vaughn and Renee are related, like they have the same father and that is why he was so loyal to her but she wasn't a threat to Sydney.

I miss the Rambaldi stuff because it was never resolved. Like was Syd 'the one' or whatever that prophesy stuff was. And what did Nadia write out when she was on the green goo. And what were the documents that Lauren told Syd about. It wasn't that Jack had Irina killed, that stunk of rewrite! I hate that they have left so many loose ends!

While I still love the show I agree with JoyG about liking seeing their lives outside of the CIA/SD-6/APO etc. Don't these people know anyone but the people they work with? They used to. Syd had Will and Francie. Dixon had a family. Slone had Emily. Now Marshall is the only one with an outside life. I also think it's weird that his wife isn't in on it since she was a NSA agent. She actually believes he works at a bank??

I'm not really into this season. It is missing 'something.' I think JG is a bit phoning it in. I'm sure it has to do with her new marriage and pregnancy but it's annoying.

I'm not liking Rachel or Agent Grace yet. Everything just seems like a Syd/Vaughn redux, only it isn't an engaging as it was the 1st season.

At least for this season. Vaughn is dead. Source: Kristin on E!Online. Note: What Kristin means is that after the upcoming episode in which Vaughn will appear, Vartan is done with the show."

I don't think I'll even tune in at all. I guess the billowing white clothes on the beach must be a dream sequence, as I feared.

Of course, who knows with Alias. He might come back next season, if there are any viewers left. I bet they'll all be ticked and leave by then.

On with my new favorite show... Survivor!
