Well, they've moved it to Thursdays at 8:00p. At least we do not have to wait till January like last year!

They have written in Jennifer's pregnancy per her suggestion since she feels she's too big to hide it!

I saw Vaughn in a scene shown on the Ellen show, so neither of them die in that cliffhanger. Not surprised about that.

I heard on another thread that someone BIG is dying this year and in one of the first episodes. Wonder who it will be!

I can't wait to see it tomorrow night but I'll be on a plane on my way to Disney; wonder if I can see it on Jetblue?! I will tape it on Replay just in case!! :cool1:

**All Spoilers are welcome and encouraged**

Can't wait. This my favorite show! I have come to realize that there is no predicting what will happen on this show. They get me everytime. I read spoiler sites and they still got me with the season finale last year. If you are interested, there is a lot of good stuff on www.spoilerfix.com about this season of Alias. I just watch and expect the unexpected because even the spoiler sites aren't always 100% accurate.

I am glad the pregnancy story is written in though, cause I think it will be a great story and it would have been stupid to try and hide it.

I can't wait for the season premire this week! The cliffhanger last season literally made me gasp and jump up when it happened! I'm so anxious to see how everything plays out!

I hate that it is on Thursdays at 8. Last season Wednesday was my perfect night of television, with Lost followed by Alias. Guess this season I'll have to start taping Survivor and watching it later so I can see Alias, or vice versa.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I've been watching Alias since Season 1. But I also host small Survivor "parties" with my friends on Thursday nights. It's a tradition (even though we're not really into the show anymore).

My VCR/TV/digital cable is hooked up in such a way that I can't record one channel while watching another.

I'll never get to see Alias this season. :sad2:

LOVE this show. I HATE the new time slot. I swear ABC is trying to kill the show.

Lucky for me we have Tivo so I can watch Alias and record The OC.

Are we discussing spoliers in this thread? I'm saddened by the heavily rumored exit as well as the confirmed exit.

I think they are prepping the show for Jennifer's exit. I know she's got several years left on her contract but she's gotten so big that I"m sure she has enough leverage to get out of a show with mediocore ratings.

When I heard a rumor about a BIG exit, my first thought was her. Do you know who is leaving and who is rumored to be leaving? I'd LOVE to know!! Please?

I am also bummed about the new time slot and hope the show doesn't die because of it! :(

Well we know that Nadia won't really be back.

I think it's Michael Vartan who's leaving. That's what I keep hearing anyway.

Greg Grunberg (is that his name?) who plays Weiss is also leaving the show.

I know I've heard the rumors about Michael Vartan leaving, so we'll see. I think I read somewhere that it was hinted that even though you see Vaughn die, nothing is as it seems, kind of like maybe it's a double agent that looks like Vaughn dies and they have the real Vaughn hostage somewhere....I wish I could remember where I saw that at! Would be an interesting if they did that...

I keep hearing Michael Vartan too. I tend to believe it because in the channel guide the show descriptions say things like "Sydney hunts for the killer of a close friend."

Vartan has been rumored to be leaving at the end of pretty much every season and it's always been met with strong denials from JJ, and Vartan's people. This year they have been real cagey when asked about MV's status. I think JJ said something like "Vaughn's still alive in the season premire."

We also know that Mia Maestro is only contracted for a few episodes and that Greg Grunberg is leaving.

ETA, I also read something where JJ said that nothing is like it seems. So I tend to believe the we see 'Vaughn' die thing but he's not really dead. There are also some rumors that MV has some big movie deal but it's being kept under wraps as to not spoil Alias and that he could return to Alias after shooting the movie. While I'd love to believe that MV has a great movie and will return, I tend to think that it might be wishful thinking on the part of hopeful Michael Vartan fans.

Kristen on E online said that he is scheduled to be in the last 4 episodes of the season. He is contracted for the whole season, but that doesn't mean he will necessarily be in all the episodes.

I know that TV contracts are pretty iron clad for 6 seasons. That is why a lot of movie stars are hesitant to sign on to TV series, because if it goes for 6 seasons, they are stuck. I am sure J. Garner has a pretty tight contract since she is the sole star of the show (unlike a show like ER with a huge cast of doctors). So, I think if it would get picked up for a season 6, she will be there, but I don't see her going any further with the show after that.

I think whoever was with Sydney in the car will die. I don't necessarily think that that is Vaughn. I think Nadia and Weiss are only in the first few episodes. Sark will be back for at least 2 episodes this season (yeah, I LOVE him). I read so much on this show it is hard to keep it all straight but those are the spoilers/news that seems the most reliable.

I too hate the new time slot. This is a 10 pm show, not an 8 pm. I don't know what they were thinking.....thank god I have Tivo because I watch Survivor too.

I really hate the pregnancy being written into the show, babies have a history of ruining great shows. ;) Probably doesn't mater though because this will most likely be the last season since all of their contracts expire this year.

Maybe Vaughn is in the witness relocation program or something... he "dies" and goes back into hiding again, and then reappears at the end of the season for the show finale. A "happily ever after," if you will. :)

I feel your pain. We have 4 shows on Thursdays at 7pm
Fox: OC
CBS: Survivor
WB: Smallville
ABC: Alias.

AUGH!

I thought she said this was false.

I'm staying spoiler free so I'm bowing out of this thread but I'll be watching the show. Have fun!

This was found on Wikipedia, of all places:

As season five begins, Sydney finds herself hospitalized after the crash. As she rushes to leave her room and find out what has happened to her, Office of Special Investigations officer Gordon Dean enters. He asks her if Vaughn seemed preoccupied before the crash, and explains that Vaughn wasn't at the crash scene. He says that Vaughn is under suspicion of being a double agent and that the crash may been a cover for an extraction.

Later, in a conference room where Vaughn sits alone, a man walks in and refers to Vaughn as "Mr. Michaux".

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

I can't wait to watch the show tonight...when I get home from Disney Monday night!!! :cool1:

Jen Garner was on Ellen yesterday and they showed the clip where she finds out she's pregnant and MV is in that episode, so we know he survives the Crash at least and is still working for the CIA.

Kristen mentioned that Mr Sark will be in 2 episodes this season. Hopefully more!

Dh and I are BIG fans of this show! I'm dumping Survivor for it. Wish it was at another night and time (it's on at 7pm here), but I'll take what I can get!

Mmmmmmmm Sark-- I adore him!

So who thinks Vaughn is really dead? I've read some things on spoilerfix that make me think that maybe he's not really gone, but then again, I don't know! Good premiere tonight though.
