Alfredo's closing permanently?

Right back at you, what the heck, I asked for a link, I could not find it.

Does that make me sarcastic, I don't think so, it was a request for an honest answer. Geez

If anyone is kind enough to send me a link to the announcement on Deb's Site I would appreciate it, I simply can not find it. Thanks.

I never knew that asking for help finding something was considered a problem.

Sorry if I misunderstood you. It didn't seem like a question, it seemed like a sarcastic remark. It's never a problem asking for help. Once again, I apologize if I misunderstood you.

Where did you see that, I can't find it on there? Thanks for a link.

I asked a question, put a question mark ? and said Thanks. What more could I have said, to make it a question and thank someone for the link. :confused3

But Thanks for the apology. :)

Sammie,

I included the link after your original post. See post 133. I'm not sure how anyone could interpret your question as sarcastic.

That's the hardest part of the Internet and the written word. You can't hear inflection or tone. It creates a lot of unnecessary anxiety.

Sammie, I have that problem all the time. I don't see the same page as everyone else because it doesn't refresh. I will sometimes go clear out my Temporary Files and cookies and then I get the new page. Hope that helps. Sincerely!!

You're welcome. Maybe I'm TOO sarcastic, and I read things that are not there. Once again, I apologize for my misinterpretation of your statement.

Let's move on now and continue talking about Alfredos, ok?

I made an ADR for May for my last meal at Alfredos:sad1:

Sammie,

after through the years of coming here, I have always found your info to be helpful, even though sometimes we have to get things out of ya :rotfl: :rotfl: thanks again always for tips beforehand

At least you get a "last meal". We didn't even get a first meal. We were hoping to go on our trip in November. Hopefully the new Italian will be something good too. We're going to wait and see and hope for the best.

I'm very sad to hear that they are closing. The food & wine pairing we had during 2006 F&W Fest was fabulous! One of the most memorable meals we had during the fest.
I know the restaurant has not had the greatest reviews as of late. I hope WDW goes with something really authentic. So many of the Epcot restaurants seem to have "americanized" the food in the past few years. Biergarten & Marrakesh in particular, the food is just not as good.

I will be going to WDW before it is closing, I will be going for a last time

this is sad news :(

I have a ressie for April 12... Now, I'm truly looking forward to it and I'll take lots of pics. It will be the last time I see Alfredo's in Orlando. But, the next time I'm in Vegas, I'll be sure to stop by!!

Arrivaderchi Alfredo... :sad1:

Yeah, we feel very sad because we've been eating there every trip for the last 20 years. We have alot of happy memories of my kids and other family members singing and having a good time. We've never had a bad meal at Alfredos, but I do agree that dinner there can be very crowded and noisy. For the past couple of years we've been eating there for a nice quiet lunch. Oh, well.

Do you know which hotel in Vegas they are opening up an Alfredos?

No, but it probably wouldn't take much snooping to figure it out. Just off the top of my head, I think it would be a good fit at the New York New York or the MGM Grand, maybe?? It could also be going into one of the malls they have there like the Forum Shoppes or maybe the big mall down at the north end of the Strip, Fashion Show Mall?

I tried looking online, but I couldn't find out any info. You're right, maybe it would go into one of the malls. The Forum Shoppes has Il Mulino and the Fashion Show Mall has Mangianos. Alfredos would probaly fit right in.

I wonder if it will be the Levy Restaurant group, since they already run Portobello Yacht Club (along with Fulton's and Wolfgangs).

Sounds like it will only be closed for a short time, so no major remodeling. Levy could just take on the existing employees so no familiarization with the existing equipment would be needed.

There is also one in NYC not far from you

Thanks, I know. I never ate there, but to tell you the truth, I very rarely eat out in Manhattan (too much of a hassle and after working there all week, my family doesn't want to go back on the weekend). We mostly frequent all the great restaurants we have in Brooklyn.

Also, Alfredos in New York doesn't get very good reviews. But, of course, bad reviews never stopped me from eating in Alfredos in Epcot! I think I will miss Alfredos more for our memories, than for the food.

I was curious about the one in Vegas because I LOVE Vegas and I always like to know what's going on there. I doubt I would ever eat in Alfredos in Vegas because there are SO many other places I've yet to try.

Has anyone here ever tried Alfredos in New York?
