Alex & Tim's PJ: SBP/Sago Cay/YSH 12/09/09: UPDATED-Hair is done!

i would check out burton if you have one near you, we did and they didnt charge us for extended hire. formally yours used to be quite cheap when we looked last year but there prices have doubled lately

Oooh, thanks Sarah. I have the details from them but obviously it was based a few months ago when I enquired. I expected prices to increase but not double!

:cheer2: Yeeeeeeey for getting your date and time - now the real planning can commence! :cheer2:

We are going to use Formally Yours as they had the exact thing Tim and my Dad were looking for and their extended hire rate is brilliant.

Thanks!

For the favours I have gone for these:

I'm going to put these in little bags with a thank you tag.

for the gift bags, I'm going to put these in:

with some little bath bombs and red petals in the carriage. These will be decorated with our colours of white and dark red.

I'm also going put these in:

with some little soaps in. These shoes will be in our colours too.

I bought some white rose candles yesterday for an absolute bargain! I'm going to make up a gift bag for after our reception dinner with these in so the ladies can have a relaxing bath. I might even put a little bottle of bubbly in too!

Alex.. I'm just now jumping into your pj!! I love your ideas.. your purse and jewlery look great and your dress is STUNNING!! So the above pic of the carriage.. where is that from?? I love it.. ?

Thank you honey, glad you like everything! The carriages were from a UK seller on ebay and she decorated them with our colours. I have seen them for sale on the US site of ebay too.

I wasn't sure about them but as they were only a few £'s I had them and I have to say they are fantastic. I am doing gift bags for the ladies (we've only got 6 including me) and I had a few extras for people who couldn't come.

I am trying to decide what to put in the carriages and the shoes to match. I've bought some different candles that are a set of 3 votives, I was going to put a mini bottle of champagne in and then bath products in the carriages and shoes so the ladies can have a relaxing bath after our wedding.

Oooh, just had a thought. I could put some chocolates in the carriages and bath salts or pearls in the shoes. Sorted!!

I had a phone call from Disney today - they received the signed contract and we paid the deposit. YAY!!!

Someone will be calling in a couple of weekd to go over the details with us :goodvibes :yay: :goodvibes :yay:

I put my dress on when we went to Mom and Dads at Christmas and she definitely didn't lace it up the same as the bridal shop did! I've lost 14lbs since they did it at the shop and my Mom had problems getting the top to meet at the back so I'm not quite sure what was going on.

I think it was too high which is why the top was tighter.

I had the dress on for about 15 minutes and it really hurt one of my ribs - there isn't as much padding over there now! I think we'll have to try the lacing a few times. Oh well, a good excuse to put the dress on again :goodvibes

I haven't got any pictures as people reading this are going to the wedding and I don't want to spoil the surprise. Some of them have never seen me in anything but trousers so it will be a shock for them.

I love it as much as I did when I first tried it on and am so glad that I got it. The shoes, veil, bag and jewellery look fantastic with it too :lovestruc :lovestruc

Mom and Dad told us tonight that they are paying for one of our weeks in Orlando in a villa. We originally had three weeks booked at Disney (BW, POR, CBR) but we were struggling with the 3rd week. By staying at the POR rather than the CBR we saved about $450 but it was still tight. Mom and Dad are staying in a villa for two weeks and are booking an extra week for us. How nice is that?! The villa we are looking at is only a couple of miles from Disney (Indian Oaks I think) and it is absolutely stunning. What a treat!!

I'd love to see the dress...Can you PM me with some pics or did you not take any at all. I won't tell/show anyone. :)

I didn't take any but next time I put it on I will - promise! Mom and I will be doing the lacing a couple more times to get it right :thumbsup2

The weight loss is going well (apart from a blip over Xmas but hery, what are you going to do?!) and I'm finding it really easy. The Atkins diet really works for me.

The dress I have from Monsoon for the meal on the night wouldn't have fitted if i hadn't have lost the weight so I'm really chuffed :goodvibes

We had a call from Amy today. She has sent through the planning kit and I love the choice of cakes. I've asked how we go about having a different flavour and filling for the top layer so waiting to hear about that.

I can't believe it is all happening now. Mom and Dad are looking at villas, we are starting to put together an itinerary for the trip and looking at doing something special for them to say thank you.

I can't post what we are thinking as Mom has the link to this PJ so I don;t want to ruin the surpirse. I told her today that she needed to trust me as i was planning something and she said she's not sure if she does! Charming! I might just get her wearing Mickey Ears for that...!

Yeah! It's all coming together now! :goodvibes :cool1: :goodvibes

Yay for getting a planner!!!!! Now the fun stuff begins!!!

It certainly is! We've been looking at the planning kit today to try and make a decision on the most important thing of the wedding - what cake and what flavours :lmao:

We are big cake fans and thought about getting three. One that says HIS, one that says HERS and one that says THEIRS! I absolutely adore the cakes from the Boardwalk bakery and got one last time for Tim's and our friends little girls birthday. It was bavarian cream and fresh raspberries and was just perfect. Mmmmm.

But then, chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. Almond cake and amaretto. Oh the choices...

The best flavours in my opinion ;)

That's a really good idea about getting three like that, I've never seen that done before!

We're sorted on most of the planning pack already, even though we don't have to sumbit it until around July I think it is, it's the music we're struggling on, just can't decide at all!

I FLIPPING LOVE THIS IDEA!!! it is worth adding the extra layer! :goodvibes

We just might do it! Tell you what, there'd be no cake left out of the three layers by the end of the week either...

I think it would be great! Depends on costs, but then we were going to get ourselves both a cake from the Boardwalk Bakery.

You know what I've always wanted to do? Get a cake, take a picture, shove my face in the top, take another picture. I am SO going to do this in December, and so is Tim, so why not do it with our HIS and HERS wedding cakes? Not on the day though, not after paying for hair and makeup :scared1:

We didn't have a problem with the music really. We can't make our minds up about the Recessional though. We are swinging towards Star Trek: Next Generation coz we love it and are big fans. Plus my Dad reminds me of Jean-Luc Picard!

I think I'm going to get them to play the Darth Vader theme (Imperial March) for when Dad and I first walk up the aisle as a bit of a joke. Tim would just fall about laughing.

Let us know what you decide on :goodvibes
