Alex & Tim's PJ: SBP/Sago Cay/YSH 12/09/09: UPDATED-Hair is done!

I saw a picture of a bouquet that I think looks stunning:

RoseBouquetwithCrystals.jpg

I want the hand-tied french style bouquet that Disney do in burgundy roses - this is the type of bouquet either with or without the white flowers:

and thought these crystals would look great in the middle of the flowers. My jewellery is very sparkly crystal so it will all go well, and the groom's flower and other button-holes and corsarges can have a crystal in the middle too. The crystals are on a long pin that will stick in the middle of the flowers and hopefully not drop out.

Here we go again with that budget, I had to buy the crystals of course!

I've started a wedding box for all these things that DBF doesn't know exists. I've put it with the hoover and iron so there's know way he'll find it :lmao:

I love these wedding favour boxes:

And rather than the traditional sugard almonds or chocolates I want to fill them with these mini bath bombs:

Aren't they cute?!

sorry it took me so long to respond to this but I LOVE bath bombs. What an original idea and they would look so cute in those boxes.

I love the colors in the first bouquet! That would absolutely go with my dress. I need to find BM dresses in that color.

aw...I see your reception is at Le Cellier! Nice. I wanted my there as well but my DF said there is no way we are leaving Canada, having a destination wedding only to eat in a Canadian restaurant in Epcot. Seems like your plans are well under way now. I'd definitely go with the crystals for your bouquet.

It will either be the Yachtmans Steakhouse or Le Cellier, we're not sure which yet due to numbers. If it is 13 or more then Le Cellier class that as a group and we will have to have the first sitting at 1700 which we're not keen on. Yachtmans class 9 or more as a group and the first sitting is at 1730 which would be ok - basically I want to spend as long in my dress as possible!

My DBF said the same thing about the UK! He said no way were we leaving the UK to have a destination wedding and then eating at the UK Pavillion or the Gardenview Tea Room!

Another vote here for the crystals in the bouquet - you can't beat a bit of sparkle!

Have you bought your bath bombs and keepsake boxes yet, or are they still just an idea?
(Gotta keep on track with you, can't have you getting things bought and me lagging behind! :rotfl:)

I've warned Tim that he is going to have crystals in is hair, but as he has a shaved head I'll have to stick them straight in. Makes a change from the bolts in the side of his neck I suppose!

Come on girl, keep up, there's money to be spent and the perfect excuse to do it!! I haven't bought the bath bombs yet as I thought the perfume might fade but I could keep them in a plastic bag. I was thinking of doing a gift-bag-type-of-thing for the ladies with bath products in. These boxes would look nice with the bath bombs in one and some mini soaps in the other - all co-ordinated in our colours of course!

I want to get the boxes but I know I'll end up using them for my own bits and pieces and then have to get another lot!

:rotfl: Awesome mental image now of involuntary acupuncture!

I can't decide whether to do proper favours or not at the moment.
I've got the idea of getting the chocolate placecards from Disney as like a mini-favour and placecard in one for everyone, but then treating everyone to e.g. MNSSHP tickets for one night or something like that? I'd kinda rather encourage everyone to do at least one group activity while we're there and pay for that. Just an idea at the moment though, knowing me I'll change my mind though!!

That first bouquet is beautiful! I need more purple bouquets! I hope you don't mind if I borrow that idea. :)

Not at all, I borrowed it myself! It is gorgeous isn't it?

We've decided to meet up with everyone the night before for a meal somewhere. There will be a maximum of 13 of us and only a few staying on Disney so we won't qualify for a Grand Gathering.

If everyone goes there will be a total of six ladies (well, four ladies and two others - wouldn't go as far as calling them ladies!) so I would like to do something for them. I love getting little favours or keepsakes from weddings and if I don't get one I usually steal something from the table. Not like a plate or a piece of chicken or anything, just a name card!

I've found somewhere that does personalised chocolate bars which is an idea, and we were thinking of a mini bottle of Cava. They can relax in a hand-made bath bomb bath with chocolates and champers - I might do one for myself!

I'm not going to spend a load of money on them but it would be nice to do something. And there has to be a hidden Mickey in there somewhere doesn't there?!

Right, got the favours and the gift bags sorted.

For the favours I have gone for these:

CrystalShoe.jpg

I'm going to put these in little bags with a thank you tag.

for the gift bags, I'm going to put these in:

Carriagefavour.jpg

with some little bath bombs and red petals in the carriage. These will be decorated with our colours of white and dark red.

I'm also going put these in:

CinderellaShoeFavour.jpg

with some little soaps in. These shoes will be in our colours too.

I bought some white rose candles yesterday for an absolute bargain! I'm going to make up a gift bag for after our reception dinner with these in so the ladies can have a relaxing bath. I might even put a little bottle of bubbly in too!

B***DY DRESS!! B***DY CUSTOMS!!

I've posted this separately but in a nutshell, if I ship my dress to anywhere or anyone in the US (even to myself at Disney) I will pay customs on it as it is worth more than $100. If I ship it back after the wedding I've got the same problem in the UK.

I really didn't want to put it in checked baggage so I'm going to buy a bag the size of cabin baggage and see if it will fit.

So frustrating!!

To help save a little bit of cash at this all important stage, you could get some crystals for your bouquet over here. I went to a local florist and bought 6 I think for only a few pounds. There were 2 sizes, I got the smaller ones as I had the hand tied french bouquet. Whilst in the Bridal room my Mum put the crystals into the flowers and they looked lovely. A girls got to have her bling!

They look fantastic in the bouquet, thank you for posting the picture. That is the bouquet I want but in dark red roses. I got the crystals from a florist through ebay and payed less than £10 for 100 so I'm really pleased. There will be enough to put in every flower in the bouquet, my DBF button-hole, my Dad's button-hole, Mom's corsarge and just about every other flower I see at Disney :)

My DF wants to have dinner and DP at the UK pavilion :rotfl:

I don't know if you are an ebay fan but it's worth taking a look because I've seen swarovski crystals that you can buy in bulk (the kind that are easy to attach to your bouquet). Bonus: the sealer lists their price in Australian dollars so with your pound it would cost next to nothing for you.

Hi Tink, I'm a HUGE ebay fan. Thanks for the info on the crystals, I'll have a look :thumbsup2

YAY!! Spoke to Disney today to ask a few questions. What a lovely lady, her name is Lizette. She doesn't think it would be a problem to get the date (9th December) as it is not a too popular time for weddings and she cleared up the query I had re advanced room bookings.

Can't wait to speak to them again!
