Hi all.
I'm leaving for DL tonight to use our DVC GC for the first time.
A few friends have asked me to bring home some California-centric beers for them. Specifically, they are looking for Russian River and Stone beers. Do you know if Wonderland liquor or any similar store near DL carries these beers. These are things we can't get in Hawaii and I'd like to bring some back.

Also, I did some searching and found the Twisted Vine. Anyone have experiences with them? http://www.twistedvinewines.com/home.htm

Thanks

I'm not sure about wonderland but have been in 7eleven, ABC market and the liqour store across the street from them.

Non have a great selection so I would not waist your time going in there. The best was 7eleven and it only gets as exotic as NewCastle and Dos Equis.

You may want to go down Katella on an OCTA bus to the Food4Less, or the liqour store across from it, if Wonderland doesn't work out.

I know the Costco on the Big Island had some California beers last time I was there (Sierra Nevada, Red Hawk IPA). Is there a BevMo or Liquor Barn near DL?

My personal favorites, you may want to get ahold of some of these if you can:

1. Red Seal Ale-North Coast Brewing Co.
2. Downtown Brown-Lost Coast Brewery
3. Russian River IPA-Russian River Brewing Co.
4. Old Rasputin-North Coast Brewing Co.
5. 8-Ball Stout-Lost Coast Brewery

UPDATE:

I just got back from 5 days at DL and here's what I found.

Wonderland Liquor is relatively close, maybe 5-10 minute walk from the Grand. They had the basic beers along with a lot of Stone brewery stuff, Bootleggers, and some Racer 5 that I enjoy.

I rented a car for a day and drove out to Bevmo. Its 10 miles way from DL and is located right next to Brea Mall. So we did some shopping, and picked up some great beers. We were going to take a taxi, but the Alamo on Downtown Disney ended up costing less than catching a cab. If you do the same trip as we did, I would recommend filling up gas on your own. Our trip to Bevmo and Twisted Vine was so short the gas needle didn't even move.

On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by Twisted Vine which was great. The baked brie was awesome and they had some very good wine tasting going on. They also sold a lot of beers (including Russian River Damnation). That was the only place I found that carried any Russian River beers.
