Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

I did not say that. In any way shape or form. Don't be ridiculous.

Do you have a way to guarantee that people won't get drunk & out of line @ MK?

Look. There is a time & place for everything & Magic Kingdom is not in my opinion the time or the place.

Do I think most people would abuse alcohol @ MK? I doubt it.

What I do know, I don't want to see it (bad behavior) in Magic Kingdom. I LOVVVVE MK the way it is.
Of course you said that. It was quoted. I guarantee that people drink in mk everyday and not just at bog. You just don't know about it. I don't see why you would concern yourself with what other people are drinking. I've seen plenty of obnoxious behavior at mk without a lot of alcohol served there. If anything a drink may mellow people out a bit ;)
It's a theme park not a church, although in some churches wine is served.

People behave badly at MK every day.

Hardly walk after one? Have you ever had one? It takes at least 4 to get any type of buzz.

I've not. I enjoy the white sangria & my husband the back scratcher @ Tamu Lounge, our favorite. We haven't been to Trader Sams yet. I heard the LLs were so strong though, from other Disers.

They really are good and I would recommend them but people are a bit dramatic about how strong they are. Everyone's tolerance level is different though.

Have you seen behavior that took away your magic at MK after BOG opened? Why would that change of a beer was served at LTT or wine at Tony?if

LOL!!! Well I'm sure the people that show up after one of those can hardly walk so.........

Well, I'll have to see about that next month. I've never had either (haven't been to Tambu (?) and Trader Sam's at DL doesn't have the PP), but I will be having them.

No worries, though, we aren't even getting tickets to WDW for this trip. Strictly a resort and Universal only trip with my cousin.

But after my mai tai (in the purchased glass mug) at TS at Disneyland Hotel, I was having amusing problems with walking (lightweight)... 2 days later when I had one withOUT purchasing the mug, though, it wasn't as strong.

Anywhere at WDW (not in the parks) to get a good Sidecar? Had one at DCA last week at Carthay Circle Lounge, and I swear it changed my life. Soooo good.

I can't believe I went to DHS for years and never knew about that cute little bar in Prime Time! We've always done the Sci-fi lunch and HBD dinner, so a couple of summers ago without the DH (who wouldn't like the interaction) I took the DD's and saw it.

I would love a place like that in the Magic Kingdom. Mid-afternoon, I need a break so I like to sit with a glass of wine and read a book on my phone while the family goes off. Prior to cell phones I carried a paperback. That is a vacation for me. I sit on the beach and read, sit by a pool and read, sit by the lake and read sit under the umbrella at TL and read, sit on the balcony and read, etc. Ton's of place in Epcot, a few in DHS and a couple in AK.

I've been known to go over to the pool bar at the GF but I thought next trip I would take a ride over to Trader Sam's. Is it still busy?

Did you know about the outdoor lounge attached to the brown derby? Love it!!

Any argument that relies on a "loss of magic" is doomed. News flash..."magic" isn't real. If you go to see Penn and Teller in Las Vegas and think that they really are chainsawing people in half, then there is a problem. Dumbo and Pooh are not "magical". They are amusement park rides. They become nothing more nor nothing less if you have had a glass of wine with dinner. And more importantly, your experience is not altered in the least if someone else in the park has had a glass of wine with dinner. There is no argument to be made...none...that the Buzz Lightyear attraction is more "magical" than Toy Story Midway Mania because none of the people riding the former have had a drink whereas a percentage of the people riding the latter have had a drink. And there is no argument to be made that Space Mountain became lesser of a ride in the past three years because a certain percentage of guests had a glass of wine at Be Our Guest. Any attempt to make or justify such arguments is doomed to fail.

Is Disneyland magical? Is it "pure" and alcohol free? Well, DCA is mere steps away and many (most?) guests get park hopper tickets and bop back and forth between parks. Has anyone...ANYONE...detected a decline in the "magic" at DL since DCA opened up next door? Do they administer breathalyzer tests to people when they hop from one park to the next? No? Well then, guess what? People walk around DL every day after imbibing drinks sold and poured by Disney. And yet know one seems to mind or notice.

Is Disneyland Paris "magical"? Is it less so than the Magic Kingdom? Does the sale of alcohol suck the life and magic out of that park? Is that park tailored any less to children?

Haven't you ever had a "magical" meal at a world class restaurant that served alcohol? Did the fact that the restaurant had a wine list make the evening less special? Or, to the contrary, might it have made the restaurant and the meal more special? Is it impossible to believe that the same could be true of CRT or The Crystal Palace?

And finally...has there ever been a day, ...once, ...ever, ...when you walked out of AK or DHS and said: "Today was nice. But it would have been so much better if there had been no alcohol served in the park"? Again, any argument that the MK is materially different from Disneyland or Disneyland Paris or Animal Kingdom or DHS lacks reason and logic and is powered only by emotion. And an argument grounded solely on emotion will always crumble under closer scrutiny.
