Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

I quite agree, it would be all kinds of 'magicless' to see people throwing up on Dumbo or treating their kids badly. I'm also sure both things happen daily in MK without alcohol. This also does not seem to be a problem at, say, AK. I've never seen drunk people throwing up on Triceratops Spin or beating their kids on the safari. I don't know what it would be about alcohol in MK that would make people lose their minds and start getting drunk left and right.
It's understood that we have different views. There's not alcohol all over MK, so no need to go on about this topic. I get to enjoy it without drunks to worry about. Hooray!!!!!!!!!! :hmghost:

A million years ago, when CRT was not a character meal I had the most delicious Prime Rib dish and I remember thinking what I would give for a nice glass of red wine.

The cost of the meals are so expensive, they deserve a decent glass of wine.

Honestly, it's supposed to be a FRENCH restaurant. There is rarely a meal in France that is not accompanied with wine - as an accentuation of the meal. I can see the thought behind having it in that restaurant and no other.
You have a good point there.

Following that logic, I would suggest.....

Mimosas - CP
Champagne - CRT
Tony's - Italian liqueurs offered up after dinner
LTT - hard cider

I personally love a glass or two of wine with dinner, especially on vacation (and when I'm spending a bit more on my meals than cooking at home costs me, or eating out some cheaper places). I know many people are like me, and avoid the TS places at MK for this reason. I haven't been to a TS restaurant at MK in 20 years. I do have a late (very late for me, 9:30pm) dinner at BOG booked for Easter, only for a snack and sharing a bottle of wine with DH (or dessert and wine).

I agree a mimosa would be lovely! Or have one at the GF and then go over :) We may have them in our villa prior to going out on Easter (actually we plan on it - getting a late start that day and planning a late evening - cooking brunch in and then going out).

I totally respect choices for some who don't drink. I have some friends who can't. Still, others drinking responsibly doesn't affect anyone, and Disney would make more money. No way at home will I normally pay $7 for a beer (well, our local Mexican place charges $10 a margarita and I treated for dinner to the tune of $120 the other day with my girlfriend, as we sat there for 4 hours and each had 4 drinks). At Disney yes I do end up paying way more for drinks. I only go 1 to 3 times a year, so it's not every weekend!

If they did offer drinks, I would definitely consider booking meals at MK. Since they don't, I choose to dine elsewhere. Honestly, though, I do very few TS meals any longer at Disney. I've eaten at so many, and don't like to bother to be tied down.

I'm not sure why you think people enjoying a glass of wine or a beer with dinner would equal drunks all over the Magic Kingdom. That is quite a leap in logic.

I'm still trying to figure out why some people think everyone at MK is sober? Lapu Lapus and Polynesian Pearls are just a monorail ride away!

I did not say that. In any way shape or form. Don't be ridiculous.

Do you have a way to guarantee that people won't get drunk & out of line @ MK?

Look. There is a time & place for everything & Magic Kingdom is not in my opinion the time or the place.

Do I think most people would abuse alcohol @ MK? I doubt it.

What I do know, I don't want to see it (bad behavior) in Magic Kingdom. I LOVVVVE MK the way it is.

LOL!!! Well I'm sure the people that show up after one of those can hardly walk so.........
