Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

The magic you keep talking about? Guess what? Most of it is in your brain. It is in mine too. We all bring it in with us, and the Magic Kingdom is the place we let it out. It is only diminished by what others do if we let it be. What someone is enjoying at their meal only affects you if you think it will, if you tell yourself it does.

It's not worth the risk of.losing all that specail magic. As noted before Disney had proven inany plaxes.they cannot control the heavy drinkers.

Bog has had alcohol now for the last couple of years. I think they've done a pretty good job controlling the heavy drinkers. So I think they have proved, it can be done.

did you ever think that perhaps some think it is more magical to have a glass of wine with dinner? Why should your idea of what's special hinder what someone else finds as special?
Maybe some people think that having designated smoking areas hinders on the magic. Does that mean we should allow smoking everywhere? Or ban it altogether?

Fine enjoy their magical.drink anywhere else in WDW

Having a beer or a glad of wine with dinner will have zero impact on any magic

Ok I am sorry you didn't understand......Disney has demostrated they cannot or will not control drinking as shown at Epcot, Disney springs, broadest and other clubs and bars on property

Since it s the possibilty the alcohol availablity would expand, in the MK it is not worth taking the chance of destroying one ofthe most wonderfull parks in the world.

That is why .....it's not your glass..
.it's the others.

I have no problem with alcohol served in the MK restaurants. I don't see kiosks like they have in Epcot, but we sure enjoyed a glass of wine at BOG after touring all day. That keeps us in MK at the dinner hour. Otherwise we usually head over to Epcot in the late afternoon. Do we get drunk? No! We are with our kids. But we are on vacation and I see nothing wrong with enjoying a cocktail. Unclear how that affects anyone else's "magic".

ETA-anytime the magic has been spoiled for us (never really "spoiled", but affected) it has been at MK and had zero to do with alcohol, but rather with boorish guests with no manners who feel their experience trumps that of everyone else.

Madam I am not here to be quizzed by you..............There have been repeated reports by posters of drunks, guests throwing up, falling down and the one that fell over my daughter while she was sitting on a epcot world showcase bench.

Every time Food and Wine rolls around, people complain about multiple drunk guests. No one ever seems to complain about drunken fools at DHS or AK, so I don't see why MK would be any different. I don't believe they're looking to start a Food and Wine festival at MK any time soon.

Exactly. Having a drink with your meal is very different than attending an event centered around drinking. But apparently some are determined to ignore that fact.

Truth is if someone having a drink with dinner impacts your vacation you are making it so.

One thing I have learned here is that "magic" is often the code word for no logical reason.
