Alcohol in Alaska

My family loves it when we bring back alcohol from our trips, so... what’s there to buy in Alaska? Where can I get some good Russian Vodka? Canadian Brandy? Etc?

IIRC, there's nothing special in Alaska as far as alcohol deals go.

Just there in September for the second time. There are no distilleries in Alaska, at least from the information on available shore excursions I researched. Vancouver is very expensive and I didn't notice any good deals there either. Then you have to deal with customs.

You've only mentioned spirits, but Alaskan Amber beer from Juneau has somewhat of a cult following. Especially for East Coasters who can't get it locally.

It is completely average. Although the tap house itself was pretty fun to visit.

I don't recall any special spirits from Alaska/Canada/Russia that cannot be found in the US.

We did Alaska with a different line and they served the Alaskan beer on the ship. I thought it was pretty good stuff. Its all Ales and mostly IPAs

If someone decides to do the brewery tour just go to their storefront on the main street in Juneau. They charge $20 for a bus ride out there and tour of the facility which includes several samples. I'm not sure if they offer it as an excursion from the ship but if they do It will probably be much more expensive. The tour was fascinating as they discuss several innovations they've created to save money in an isolated area. Beer powered beer as they say.

Alaska White is pretty good. They had a smoked Porter that my husband loved-- he had some with our lunch at the Hangar. We can get Alaskan Brewing Company products locally (TX), so didn't try to bring anything back.

We also have Alaska Brewing available here (NM) so we weren't motivated to pay for the tour.

We enjoyed Skagway Brewing. Their Chilkoot IPA was pretty good, as was their Spruce Tip Ale. I didn't find anything else unusual in Alaska. You'll have to get the unusual spirits in Vancouver. I'd use the opportunity to pad my Cuban rum collection, but I'm sure there are other things you can't find here.
