Alcohol at Epcot

I was wondering if anyone can tell me about alcohol at epcot. In particular, I want to get food and a beer stein at Summerfest and the rest of the family wants to eat in Japan. Will I be able to get my beer and walk to Japan? Will I get in trouble? Is it way to far? Thanks

There is no problem in walking from Germany to Japan; all you will pass is Italy and USA. And there are stairs just after you pass the Kaki Gori cart that will lead up to the Yakitori House, which is the fast food for Japan. For liquor law purposes, all of Epcot is one "establishment" so there is no problem in walking with an "open container".

If you go to Japan .....try the ***I PLUM WINE.......it is delicious and you can get it at the sit down as well as the counter service restaurant and also in the store....my favorite..
First time i walked around with a beer I felt OMG what is wrong with this picture.....but felt okey after someone said it was A okey......

Oh yes, you can do this. We do it many times. Grab a beer in Canada and do our walk around World Showcase. And here's something that will even thrill you more. You can take your beer into any shop that you want. Freaked me out the first time we did that. You just cannot take any beverage, alcholic or not, into any attraction. And you cannot leave Epcot with an alcoholic drink.

This really helps a lot! It will be awesome to get the food to go in Germany and go get the others some Japanese food.

watch out for the margaritas from mexico - holy smokes! those things get to me and fast. Tasty though.

I've tried this a couple times, but always get stuck in Germany with having a few beers and never finish! There's always this year!

No problem at all. My favorite is getting a margarita in Mexico and making my way around World Showcase.
