Has anyone used this fax ahead option, when using a grocery stop with a limo/towncar company?

I'm a little nervous to use it. I just called Albersons and they don't have a list of groceries to choose from, they just want me to make a list (including brand names) and they will do their best to match up the items they carry to the items I requested.

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with this.

TIA!

We have used it 3 times in the past with great success. But we normally have a rental car. Not sure which car services stop there. They may substitue some items, but very rarely. Honestly I was in and out in 3 minutes, and on our way to the resort.

Where is Albertson's? I only know of Publix, Goodings and Winn-Dixie.

Although I haven't use it, I know that Happy Limo will stop there if you use the Albertsons fax service. I asked them about it once.

I faxed my order to Albertson's two days before arrival, but never called them to confirm receipt.

Happy Limo stopped there for me and guess what, they didn't have my groceries ready. Claimed they never got a fax from me. Since I didn't have my list with me, I had to race through the store and try to remember what I had wanted to purchase. Although I didn't take more than 20 mins. to shop, Happy Limo wasn't too Happy with me since I didn't come right out with my order. They did tell me that they weren't surprised that Albertson's claimed to not have received my fax since this is not the first time this has happened to someone.

My suggestion would be to make sure you call them and confirm they received your fax. Sure wish I did.

Thanks! I'll definitely call to confirm!

I haven't faxed ahead but with the 30 minute stop I have always had plenty of time. I just make a list and group the items as they would be found here at home. This works well as most groceries group the items in a similar manner. Even with dragging two dd's around the store alone I am always done and checked out in about 20 minutes.

I also grab a strafoam cooler and ice at the grocery and quickly ice down the perishables. If you group them together in the card and bag them together its easy and quick and you don't have to worry about them during check in.

I'm going to try the fax ahead option when I go next week. I looked some options on netgrocer to decide what I wanted since Albetsons doesn't have a list.

I did shop there this summer and it only took 15 minutes. The store is small and it wasn't crowded.

I loved it! We've done it twice and we'll do it again next trip. Albertson's supermarket is at 12981 S. Orange Blossom Trail (Orange Blossom Trail exit from SR 417)...easy on/easy off the highway. They matched up all my items perfectly and I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes.

The grocery list printed off with all the sizes and quantities, and I faxed that, with our name, arrival date, FLTours - on every page.

Easy:)

Hi Everyone,
Although we frequent PUBLIX grocery store because most people are happy with their selection and price, we are finding Albertson to be most convenience. Albertson not only provide all of the above but also we give you the option to fax your order in advance so that you just stop only to pick up your ready grocery. Here their information.

Tele. (407)857-5666 Fax (407)857-0132
Address:12981 Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando
If you choose to fax your order, please let us know in the special request box that you are planning to stop at Albertson.

Hi mbb

I am so excited to fax in our grocery list for our visit in January but am having trouble finding the printable list on the link...

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?? Also do they charge a fee for "shopping for you" ??

Thanks for the GREAT info...I learn so much on these boards!!!::yes::

I should have included in my post, that I couldn't find a printable list either, so I did the online shopping list, and then right clicked to get the page to print:) Used scissors to trim all the other stuff, and faxed it away.:)

HTH!!
:sunny:
