Albatross Cruise

Hey gang! You may or may not remember my report on the new Albatross Cruise . Our son went on it at the end of July. Someone asked if they went into the world showcase and the general thought was that they didn't. I also weighed in that they hadn't gone into the WS.

Well I finally got the photos back that my son took on the cruise with a disposable camera and sure enough, there they are walking through Mexico! So if anyone was dissappointed by the thought they the cruisers didnt go into the WS, cheer up, because they do!

Thank you for posting again! I remember your report from before. I'm happy to hear they do go into WS. DS would be a little dissappointed since I opened my big mouth and told him he was going to Epcot without mom and dad.

I can understand how your son may have "forgotten". LOL We ask DS what he did 10 minutes after he comes back to us and all we hear is "I don't know".

I am glad to hear that he liked it. My kids had a good time on the GF Pirate Cruise this summer. They want to do something again next summer. Do you feel that the albatross cruise is different enough from the pirate cruise?

If they want something totally different you could have them do Grand Adventures in cooking at the GF. They decorate a chef's hat and apron and decorate cookies . then they give out the cookies in the lobby of the GF. My kids were 7 and 4 and really enjoyed it.

You are right, the cooking class is great! My kids did that this summer too. The Albatross cruise is the only other acitivity that we can think of for them.

In August my kids (son 10 and daughter 6) went on both the Pirate Cruise and Albatross (about 4 days apart). They liked both for different reasons. It was their first time to do either. The Albatross highlight was going into EPCOT before it opened. The crew seemed really fun although it is a much more laid back group than the pirate. They didn't start registration until about 5 minutes before the cruise start time. There was less people on the Albatross, too.

I just booked my 2 daughters on the 12/28 Albatross today... anyone who has gone: are the attendees overwhelmingly boys, or is there a decent balance of boys and girls?

we have done the cruises... 2x at the GF and 1 x at the Albatross. Its a good mix of girls and boys. They DEFINITELY go into Mexico and I think Canada at Epcot (definitely two locations)

The cruises are quite different... my son has had a blast at both of them!
