ALB questions

I'll be flying into ALB tomorrow, and then returning out of there about a week later.

For those of you familiar with the airport, how have security lines been lately?

If you fly US Airways, do you know if there is a designated check-in line for First Class/Preferred passengers?

Is there anyplace to eat after you clear security?

I haven't flown in or out of that airport in years, and I know it's changed a lot.

ALB has never been a problem. From what I understand, TSA looks to this airport as it's model and often tests new procedures here.

You should have no worries. All of the services are located after the security check.

This is my home airport and I just flew out and back last week. They've recently expanded the security checkpoint and added more machines, but honestly, I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes even before the expansion.

Yes, US Air has has designated check-in for FC/status passengers.

There is a McDonald's, a pizza place, a Saranac pub, a Coffee Beanery/eatery, and another counter-service type place. Oh, and another bar that serves some food items in the B concourse, which is where US Air flies in/out of. Oh, and a Carvel ice cream place.
