For those who have experience:

What options do I have for airports to fly into for a cruise and which is best for a close commute to the cruise ship? Hotel recommendations for first night? How long would the flights be from Atlanta?

I've heard ships leave from Washington State and Vancover.

I want a cruise option that is as easy , and "quick time/commuting to the ship" wise as possible.

How much do these cruises average?

Best time to go? (weather and cost)

Best cruise line?

Best cruise line?
The two I feel comfortable recommending are Holland America (HAL) and Princess. HAL is my choice and the one we can use our DVC points on.

Your other questions might be best answered on a cruise board. Since this isn't an area DCL sails, I suggest trying Cruise Critic

To touch on some of your other questions:

The embarcation ports used are Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC. Delta probably has non-stop from Atlanta to Seattle. You'd most likely have to connect in SLC for Vancouver. Since flights are usually more frequent and less expensive to Seattle, the cruise lines offer bus service from Sea-Tac right to the ships in Vancouver.

I suggest stopping by a travel agency to get some brochures.
