It's just a small booklet that has information on the ports, travel arrangements, what to bring, etc. There isn't anything new in it that we probably all don't already know, but for some reason it makes the trip feel not so darn far away!
It sounds like they have been sending them out for a couple of weeks now and I just got mine, so you might give it a little more time.
Just a booklet, no DVD. It does also include a welcome back card, with our reservation number and dates when we can book Palo, port adventures, and spa treatments. Only one year and two days until I can make those reservations! Better get planning!![]()
Hi All!
I have been away for a long time... actually since 2005 when we took our first Disney Cruise on the Magic during its first trip to California. And now, here we are some five years later and we are preparing to join our very dear friends (who are really family except we actually like themon the Wonder's first trip to Alaska. The group will be me (Tisza), my DH (Mel) and our 14 nearest and dearest.
These are the same friends we accompanied on the first trip. Incidentally, I still have pics that were taken on my first Cruise which never got to the folks in them. So... if you were on the Mexican cruise covering July 4th 2005 and attended the party in the Roy Disney Suite drop me a line and I will forward the pics I have.
I am looking forward to getting to know the folks here that we will be cruising with. It should be loads of fun! And THIS time I am determined to not forget to bring my evening gown. Now, all I have to do is get small enough to be able to wear it...
Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Personally, I'm getting warmed up for the 450 day dance. You have to pace yourself for these things, you know.![]()

Hello to everyone again!!!! Let me introduce my "crew"......
April (me) ~ Age 33 (after I wrote the previous post my DH informed me that I just turned 33 on 4/5/10 NOT 34!!!!Nice, I'm pre-aging myself!
Giovanni (DH) ~ Age 40 (Will be turning 41 in 5/2010) (Yes, his parents are Italian...lol)
Veronica (DD) ~ Will be 7 as of 12/2010 (My baby girl and owner of the world's longest name.... j/k, but just about)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are going to be in a stateroom together (right now it's 5009, but that will be changing)
We are traveling with:
John (D-grandfather) ~ Will be age 84 as of 6/2010: Widower since 2003, he likes to float down the "lazy river" in Atlantis, travel to Disney World with us every year and is a blue eyed boy from Miami!
John III (D-uncle) or Jon as we call him ~ Will be 45 as of 6/2010: I like to refer to him as "The Missing Link" or "Mountain Man" (we were raised like siblings, can ya tell???lol)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
They will be in another stateroom right next to 5009, I don't think they are planning on changing their room... I'll get back with their stateroom #
We are all on late dining...... we actually prefer this as we are all pretty much night owls!
Thanks for including us in your F.E.... we just had our first one a little bit ago and had a BLAST!![]()
Hi All!
First and foremost, thank you for the warm and gracious welcome and welcome back. It is truly appreciated!
I know that the cruise is still well over a year away but it is pretty much in the forefront of my brain. I am already gearing up to put aside additional cash so that I will be able to DO the things I want to this time, not just SEE them
Actually, I am using this upcoming cruise as a convenient excuse to get an iPad since I want a way to store and view all my cruise pics while they are happening. I have a net book and laptop but what is life without additional gadgetry, right?
Anyhoo, I am also remembering fondly my first cruise experience aboard the Magic in '05 and I would love to help recreate some of that for this one. Last time we had a welcome aboard meet up on the deck during sail away and a sail away gift exchange. It was a blast! I don't know if it is too soon to start floating that particular boat, but is there any interest in doing that with this one?
I tend to be a bit of a planner and the sooner I can start doing that the happier I am
I hope everyone is having a great remainder of April. I will be attending the LA Times Festival of Books this weekend at UCLA and highly recommend it.
Have a great day, take care and help lots of people,
Tisza
