Alaska Disney Cruise Excursions for May 2020??

Dawes Glacier is not a port. It is scenic cruising. You don't tie up or get off the boat. As far as excursions go, it's DCL or nothing, since the excursion is leaving from a ship at sea.

That is good to know...Now I can plan our day better...So is it worth the $260 each to do the DCL excursion?

Does anyone remember if the Dawes Glacier excursion gets booked up or not? I am about to book our excursions for May, but was not sure if this is one we should jump on right away or can we wait it out to see how the budget is looking as we get closer.

Is the weather in May on Alaska Cruise typically Cold? Snowy? Rainey?
In Alabama our weather is not heavy coat weather. It's crazy weather, but it doesn't last long lol.
I'm just not sure if I should buy heavy coats, toboggans, etc?

I have never been but from the research I have done for our upcoming trip, I believe the weather can be all of the above. We are going in May as well so we are just preparing for every kind of weather with lots of layers, including a rain proof layer. The main thing is to stay warm and dry or you may have a miserable day out and about. We got packable down jackets that can easily be crammed into a backpack and waterproof hiking shoes. All these are on sale right now as the stores get ready for Spring. Happy planning!

The Pan Pacific is right at the dock -- just go down the elevator to get to the ship. It's pricey but nice!

For an Alaska cruise at any point all summer, the answer is always layers. There was a record heat wave last summer, but it can also be cool and wet.
