Paula,
You'll be on the same bus as Tracy. It is a 21 passenger bus, with Barry as the driver. He has been giving tours in Skagway for at least ten years now and is very good! Dave's bus is full already. You can have lunch of soup and sandwiches, but it is not included in the $79 each cost. The $89 with lunch included is only for groups of 12 or more.
Decide the day of, if you want to take the train!
You'll look for a Dyea Dave sign when you get off the ship or a white bus with Dyea Dave written on it at 7:45am.
Bring your passports! You are booked for six!

Just heard back (they must be busy)
Tracy, how many are in your party? (3?), with my 6 , we are at 9. Anyone else care to join us?
does anyone think there will be any advantage to being on the last Alaska DCL that departs for the year and out of Vancouver? Just started thinking about maybe they would be dumping excess inventory or giving a gift similar to inaugural cruises. . .(well maybe i should say "wishful thinking". . .)
Palo, has quite a bit of availabilty
Brunch-- Reservations available for parties of 1-2, 3-4.
High Tea--Reservations available for parties of 1-2, 3-4.
Dinner--Reservations available for parties of 1-2, 3-4, 5-6.

These excursions show no availibilty for our cruise:
3 Port Package for Families
3 Port Package for Young Families
3 Port for Adventure Seekers
3 Port Package for Flight Seeing
Glacier Dog Musher for a day--Juneau
Glacier View Bike & Hatchery--Juneau
Whale Watching & Salmon Bake--Juneau
Since you can make reservations already, may I ask if you have tried to reserve two excursions on the same day and, if so, how far apart they are? I did call DCL yesterday but the person I talked to did not give me much confidence that he really knew the answer. He suggested I call back today with the Port Adventures folks are there (which I will do when I have time).
I think that your excursions usually have to have a least a 2-hr break in between. That is to give you a chance to get from one excursion to the next. They take into consideration possible delays from the first booked excursions.
Hope that helps.
Hi, Everyone.
It is good to be "GOLD". We were able to book all the Palo reservations that we could book for the times that we wanted. Also, we have booked the Exotic Rasul (first sea day), Liarsville Gold Rush in Skagway and the Alaska Salmon Bake, Glacier and Hatchery (Adults Only Depature) in Juneau.
We have High Tea booked for the Tracy Arm's day. Then, we Palo dinner reservations at 6:00 pm on the Skagway day. And we saved Palo brunch for our last at sea day. MY DH thought that would be a nice way to finish the curise.
Good luck to all in making your reservations.
Congrats! Can't wait to be there next week!
Is High Tea offered every sea day? What range of time is it offered? I'm assuming afternoon?
Tea is offered on the sea days and Tracy Arm, and there is only one time; 3:00 pm.
We have never done tea before, but thought we would give it a try.
Thanks Brenda,
The DCL rep I spoke with stated 1 hour to ensure we had enough time to get back on-board the Wonder to meet the next excursion group and then get off the ship again. I wondered if this is really necessary or if it's possible to arrange to meet the group on the dock.
Same here!
This may be a dumb question, but does Palo offer the same dinner menu each night? I read other threads where folks have more than one Palo dinner booked and I realized I wasn't sure of the answer.
So they said the bus is full? If that is so I guess the rest of my group will have to find something else to do that day.
I can't believe I'm checked in for this cruise! It will be here before we know it. This is my first as "gold," and the first time I have ever seen long lists of open Palo brunch, and only time I have ever seen what Palo Tea looks like! Still lots of openings this morning, so I hope it stays that way until you all get everything you want. I'm so excited!!!
Sounds fun!!I've booked the Best of Skagway; Whale Watching, Mendenhall Glacier and Salmon Bake (Adult Only Departure); and the Bering Sea Fisherman's tour. My friend thinks it would be cool to have Palo brunch on the Tracy Arm day so that's booked.
