Alaska Airlines Visa Signature - has anyone taken advantage of their current offer?

Hmm, well I don't have the card so have no feedback but maybe you'll get a response if you have a specific question. Feedback is so subjective to how each specific person would use the card it might be hard to respond...

Basically, evaluate the card for your purposes. What are your travel plans for the next 12 months? How much would it cost without the credit card on the cheapest airline you could fly? With the credit card (remember you have to fly AS)? The $75 fee is a turnoff if you don't plan to fly AS often enough to cover the free baggage benefit and/or if you don't have a companion who would be taking advantage of the companion offer. Basically: run your math and see if it will help you in the next 12 months and if it will be worth the $75 fee.

You can also check out the "i love credit cards" thread here on the budget board, the AS CC is definitely a lesser-used card but someone over there might have it.

currently working on it. just met my spend but no points or coupon showing yet. don't know if i will have to wait until next statement, which won't be until middle of october or not.

I have this card. After i met the spending the points showed up on the next statement. The free ticket either appeared at the same time or a month after.

Yep. My partner and I both have Alaska cards and we used a companion fare early in the year to go to Hawaii and then the other to go to Orlando next month. I do use the card and pay it off in full every month. Between those miles and the miles I get for flying Alaska, I got bumped to MVP status through the end of next year. The Bank of America app (the CC is through BOA) is easy to use for payments and checking balances. The Alaska app also shows a history of your miles so you can make sure you're getting exactly what you think you should be getting.

This is the only CC I use and it's all about the miles for me. My partner loves to travel and we've been on a fair number of planes this year: Costa Rica (January together), Hawaii (March together), Costa Rica (April him), Detroit (June together), Anaheim (July me), Las Vegas (August together), Guatemala (September him), Orlando (November together) and Costa Rica (November him).

Next year's planned trips are Cuba and Europe and who knows where else. I'm not thrilled with the annual fee, but I can stomach it for the perks I get (base miles bonus, 2 free checked bags, seating upgrades) being MVP, especially with all the planes I tend to be on.

Did this help in any way? :)

Yes i have got this card in June. I'm not that familiar with Alaskan Air but i love Virgin Air
and since they merged i went ahead and got it.

I got it anticipating a trip to Hawaii and wanted the companion pass. Well i the Barclay Hawaiian
instead so my companion pass may be a waste. It was easy to spend and the points and pass
posted very soon.

I have yet to fly Alaskan but the the last 3 Virgin flights i took I just showed the Alaska
card and i got to preboard with my kids and for that i was GRATEFUL!!!!!
