TA notified us that DCL has booked us at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel from Aug 11-Aug 13. Does seem a little more real now that we have a hotel room. We are going up a few days early to get our bearings before we board.
This will help Jackson to get use to traveling plus Heather has friends in Seattle.

My family is starting to get really excited as we go on double dip to Castaway Cay on the Dream in just a couple of weeks! Now I just have to start getting all of our stuff packed.The children are super excited to ride the Aqua Duck for the first time.

Our Crew is myself, Barb (33), husband, Fran (39), son, Joseph (9), daughter, Carolyn (6), son, Timothy (2), mom, Frances, sister, Mary Beth. I'll leave their ages out for their sake. We live outside of Philadelphia, PA. We have Main seating for dinner for this cruise and we will be in staterooms 6526 and 6524. We can't wait!

I recently asked this question at our post office as I plan on renewing my twins' passports after we return from the cruise. Although they don't expire until next March, I don't to wait too long. The answer I got back from the postal person was that she heard it was taking about 6 weeks for our region (around DC). I wouldn't trust that though as it is always better to be safe than sorry!

We signed up yesterday for the mexican cruise on Dec 11. so now we have two cruises to look forward to

We are currently booked on the 8/20/12 cruise to Alaska, but are considering changing to the 8/13 cruise (would have to move up from 5C to 5B). Since there is no cruise-meet thread for the 8/20 cruise, would you all mind if I hung out here for a bit?

Absolutely feel free to chat with us here. And it would be great if you decided to switch to our week before yours cruise!

Do you miss being on the double dip Dream? I do! My family just got home today after five nights on the Dream and then three nights after at the Wilderness Lodge. We had so much fun and missed an earthquake that rocked our home state of Virginia.

Now I'm catching up on mail and doing laundry. Everyone else in this house is fast asleep....

I am so sad to be off the Dream... we came home on Sunday, and it's been soooo hard to readjust back. It was as an amazing family vacation. The double-dip was awesome, but I think I really prefer the 7 to 5 day cruise-- I could have easily stayed 2 more days!

I hope everyone has had a great summer! Last bits of hurricane Irene coming thru here (just wet and windy no damage) and getting ready for the second storm which is the first day for students back at school on Monday!

Anyway, it looks like some good port news on official Disney sight. Now leaving Juneau at 2 pm and arriving at Victoria at 6:30 pm giving us some more port time
