For my family it will come down to money if we go this year or delay to next.
Will make final decision in early March.

Like the fact 2012 cruising from US port, but not happy with shorter port hours. Should have been on this year cruise, but didn't get bonus this past year so had to push it to 2012, Time will tell what we do.

Cindyla and her family who will be joining us on the Midnight Sun Mouseketeers Cruise!

Hi -- I will add you to the roll call and please feel free to give me any more specific information if you'd like to (first names, where you are from i.e., state or country, number in your party, dining, stateroom, if you want to do the FE, etc) -- whatever you feel comfortable and I can add it to the roll call too. You can post the information here or send to me in a PM. By the way, you cna only PM after you have done 10 posts, so feel free to use our meet board to rack up the 10 posts by simply submitting quick hi messages if you'd like.

Welcome aboard! And do tell us all about your Med cruise last year! My family is considering doing it next year. :)
Hi! Thanks for your reply.... :)
We are from Mexico City, but we have lived in China for the past many years.... (we are actually still celebrating Chinese New Year)
We have booked late dinner :) We did this last year and we thought it was best for us. Although my daughter was a little sleepy by the end of the evening, she managed -and so did we.
Last year we did the cruise with a bunch of friends; however for this year it's me, my husband and my 6 year-old daughter (she will have just turned seven by the time we sail).

The Med Cruise was fantastic!!! Although you may want to check (I am not a reliable resource!!, I heard they don't do the Med anymore.... :( sigh..... the weather was perfect, everything was perfect!!!! I think the Magic is smaller than the other ships; again, I may be wrong! Glad to answer any questions you may have or share any information re the Med.

I am new to the board, so please, bare with me....!!!! I don't even know what FE means!!! :( -sorry.....

:)

Hi Cindyla, If you go to post 166 by Jackson's Grammie (it is on page 12) you can read all about the FE's. Jackson's Grammie ended up canceling the cruise so I am just putting anyone interested in doing it on the roll call. It looks like it will be a small group, so not sure if there needs to be someone formally organizing it. If it gets bigger, then maybe someone will volunteer to run it. Right now, I'm just doing it by adding people onto that roll call list. So if you are interested, just PM me or write a post in this meet thread. I will go ahead and put on the roll call that you are from China right now and also that you will be having late seating.

As for the Med, DCL let everyone know yesterday that they are going back to the Med next summer on the Magic. You can check out the DCL website to see more particulars! They also are going back to Alaska, but leaving from Vancouver which means longer port times. Many people may decide to switch over to next year, which could make it interesting in 2012 to see if cancellations means they might consider dropping the prices or having some KSF specials. Time will tell...

Hi all!! We just booked for the Aug 13th Alaska trip out of Seattle.

We are Shawn (DH), JaJa (me), Kyle (DS age 4). We are from New Jersey and this will be our first cruise to Alaska. Our stateroom will be 6313 and we are currently booked for the first dinner seating. This will be our 5th Disney Cruise. We were just on the Dream for 4 days in January. We would love to participate in the FE and so count us in! We are looking forwards to this trip and meeting you all!

Cant wait for the fun to begin!

A huge Midnight Sun Mouseketeer welcome to JaJa and her family! You have been added to the roll call! :yay:

Hey Beth-- I saw you are organizing the July '13 Eastern Med thread! We totally considered that cruise, but as of now it's out of our price range, so we're opting for the WBPC instead. (Unfortunately, July is probably a better time than May, but we'll see!) Maybe we'll be able to rebook in Alaska and get a better deal!

I looked at the 2013 Alaska itineraries, and really there are only a hour or so more in a couple of the ports, so I don't think there is a big difference between the Seattle and Vancouver departures. Yay!

Hi Allison, We will have to do a lot of saving between now and next July! it is an itinerary that I have been oh so waiting for. Just like Alaska, I have never been to any of the Ports on that Med itinerary. :)

Hey Midnight Sun Mouseketeers -- we set sail in 27 weeks!

How's the planning going everyone?

Hi everyone,

Just a heads up that if you were thinking about buying a Seattle CityPASS for touring pre or post cruise, the price of CityPasses are going up at the start of March. It is going up from adult $59 to $69 and child $39 to $44. The ticket saves 51% off of regular admission to 6 Seattle attractions: Space Needle, Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises Seattle Harbor Tour, Pacific Science Center, EMP Museum, and also the Woodland Park Zoo OR the Museum of Flight. More specific information about how it all works is on their website in the FAQ's section. The link to the CityPass site is on page one of this meet thread in the Seattle link section. I'll post it again here too: http://www.citypass.com/seattle

This is a very quiet board compared to some of the others I'm on! What has everyone been up to?

Hi Beth. my board for our Alaska cruise is also very quiet. I have been on some very active threads but these Alaska cruises so far do not seem to be very active. I've also been looks at the 2013 threads and so far I do not see any Aug 2013 wonder threads that have been started.

Still not sure if I will be switching to 2013 or not, End of this month I will be in position to make that decision.'

Hope all is going well with your planning.

Ed

When does the first Alaska cruise of the season get back? I was hoping it would be before our 90-day excursion booking window, so we could get the reports.

Hello,
Could we be added to the roll call and FE.
We are taking our second cruise to Alaska with Disney. We did the zipline, rock climbing and fishing trips last year if anyone would like information.
We are a family of three (Andrea, Troy and Bronte (girl, almost 12 at time of cruise).
We are from Vancouver.
Second seating dining and not sure of stateroom number yet.
(Bronte would also be interested in penpals if any kids around the same age would like to get in touch prior to the cruise).
