I'm looking at the Alaska choices for 2023. I would love to do the 9 night, but we have a conflict with the dates. Help me choose the between the other itineraries. Is it better to have Icy Strait Point or Skagway? Thank you!

I have not been to Icy Strait Point but I believe there is a lot more to do in Skagway including the iconic White pass Railway

We did an Alaskan cruise in 2014 and enjoyed our time in Skagway. I would look at the port adventures for each place and see which one has something you'd like to do. Even if you don't book and excursion with DCL, it will give you an idea of what's available. You could also look at TripAdvisor for ideas if booking something on your own. We're doing another Alaska cruise in 2023, on NCL this time. We're going back to Skagway and will do something different this time.

I’ve been to Skagway twice. It's a small town with a ton of fascinating history! The time we didn’t do an adventure, I still had a blast walking around and learning the history at various locations.

I am in the minority, but I'd 100% say Skagway. I've been to both and Icy Strait Point is boring and so obviously manufactured just for cruise ships. At least Skagway is an actual town with history.
