Alaska 2016

Bumping to see if any recent Alaskan cruisers have any new menu's or can verify the rotation of the specialty menu's. I thought I read that the Taste of Alaska menu wasn't served, but that seems odd...
We were on the May 30 sailing. Menus were:

1. Rotational
2. Rotational
3. Rotational
4. Freezing the Night Away
5. Captains Gala
6. Prince & Princess
7. 'Til We Meet Again

There was no Taste of Alaska, but the Freezing the Night Away menu had lots of salmon and seafood.

On wonder right now.
No taste is Alaska night/dinner. Tonight is captains gala. And tomorrow is prince and princess. And then til we meet again. But tonight's menu does have halibut. No crab.

Thanks for this info. Am wondering if the captain's gala includes lobster like on the Caribbean cruises or is it offered on another night. Thanks again.

I wonder why they aren't doing Taste of Alaska. Anyone ask? I'm sort of disappointed. We were really looking forward to that one!

Just got back from the Wonder yesterday. Although they are not doing the Taste of Alaska menu, every night they have sections of the menu called "Regional Inspirations" that are supposedly dishes inspired by Alaska. However, we discovered that some of these were just regular dishes and desserts that they just pretend are unique to Alaska (such as the wild berry cobbler). However, we were not disappointed by the amount of seafood (especially salmon) on the menu. :fish:

i just got off wonder yesterday too..and couldn't follow-up earlier on my previous message from my iPhone... i can never remember my password for this site..

Anyway- Peanutzz is correct. There was lots of fish- cod, halibut, salmon, shrimp etc..spread over several nights. The crab legs and lobster options were on the same night. however - i was disappointed in the salmon. badly cooked on the last night.

at beach blanket buffet on the last sea day there was a TON of seafood. Lots of king crab legs, snow crab, shrimp, salmon.
