apr 28-may 6 for a chevy uplander for $286. Last week, it was closer to $350.

Just thought I'd pass it along for those who are renting a mini van!

Edited to Add: I simply used the reservation link from Costco's site. I did not include the extra $25 coupon because we want to bypass the counter.

I got 12 days in May for $207. I used the $25. coupon.
Thanks again. :wave2:

Thanks, I just got $249 for May 12 - 19. I also used rate code by and the $25.00 link.

That's, by far, the cheapest I have found so far.

How I wish I could get this..but joining costco isn't an option for me, it's not close enough for me to get a benefit out of the membership....Can you borrow someone;s costco card?..Do you need to show the actual card>?

Not sure if this helps but BJ's has the same rate.

Also if you go to BJ's, there is a coupon for $20 off.

I am sorry I don't know the answers to your question though.

I dont' know if you need the physical card, but they do have our pictures on them.

Hopefully someone else knows if you must present the card in order to get the deal. I did not use the Costco $25 coupon so I can skip the counter. I wonder if that will increase the odds that they won't ask for it since I'll just be handing in paperwork as I'm exiting the garage with my rental. :confused3

GOOD NEWS ALL!!! You DO NOT have to be a Costco Member to take advantage of rental car discounts online!! I have called and verified (besides, another DIS'er also confirmed this on another thread) the they do not require a membership nor card at car rental counter. If you booked travel through the actual club, then you would need your card. However, anyone who logs onto Costco.com is eligible for their discount.

The coupon is on the left hand side of the screen when you go to travel then to rental cars, then Alamo.

Also, THANK YOU to OP! I had a SUV booked for 12 days (5/28-6/9/06) for $275.00 (which I was thrilled about), but by rebooking today, my new rate is an AMAZING $198.45 (including coupon)! Thank you so much.

BTW all, you need to print that coupon and present it at the car rental counter when you get your car..don't forget! The discount is applied as a courtesy to the customer to show final price, but the ticket agent needs the coupon in order to apply it in person.

Hope it helps~

PP - YOU ROCK :cheer2:

Thanks so much for getting that information!!! That Costco link's been giving me the best deal so far (and this is with Alamo, right? not National..), but the thought of paying for a Costco membership wasn't cost effective for me to save on one car rental..

so THANKS:)

No problem! And YES it is for Alamo no other company. :thumbsup2

These rates are unreal! i just got a standard size SUV for 8 days for $142! Used the costco $25 off. That's the lowest rate i've EVER gotten for orlando for any type of vehicle. :Pinkbounc

My rate just went from $123 to $90 with the Costco link and coupon. Thank you so much!! I was debating using ME and picking a car up at the Dolphin, but this rate is so amazing I'm going to have to get my own luggage.

I got a rate $364 for 17 days for a minivan. I can't believe how low it is!

The confirmation and coupon are now printed and in my travel folder!

Thanks so much for the heads up! :thumbsup2

:cool1: Fantastic...my rate went from 192.64 for a midsize SUV to 136.78 :cheer2: One week in August....THANKS Joellyn23

Thanks for the heads up, I think I got a good deal on the rates with the Walmart codes, 6/24-7/2 for $137.00 with tax! Whoohoo! :thumbsup2

Now, I'll just wait till it gets closer & will probably use the pre-pay option to save the 15%, if I'm calculating correctly it will cost me about $120 after taxes & discounts for 8 days plus a couple of hours!!!! :disrocks:

Also, didn't read all the post about the Costco thing, but mine is with an ENT coupon, hoping to just get a better rate if a different code comes out!

:cool1: :cool1: Thanks for posting this!!! My rate just went from an already $149 to $137 for a convertible at the beginning of May (5 days)!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
