They must work off commission when it comes to insurance...KimOhio said:we rented at the airport then drop it off at the dolphin. He tried to get us to get personal insurance and everything else we told him no the only reason we signed up for the insurance he scared us and said we would have to pay everything out of pocket it the car got wrecked. I know it becuase I checked with my insurance company, but he said it did not matter in FL because they are a no fault insurance I am going to call alamo and check with them if not I will call the cc company and maybe they will take off the charge. Thanks guys

I think (correct me if i'm thinking wrongly) that the Alamo on-resort is under less pressure to rent, and has a much lower rental 'turnover' - that is they are much quieter, and likely not expected to sell extra insurance as much. No doubt, they would happily sell you it if you asked!
The Alamo at International Airport is notorious for pushing extra insurance for no reason - likely a combination of staff incentives and high expectations from the parent company. They get rude when you decline and some use underhanded tactics like 'accidentally' printing off the agreement with insurance added, hoping you'll just sign without looking....
