I have a ressie with Alamo for $173 and one with Budget for $169, both full size cars. $4 is not going to make or break the bank, so it is just an issue of which company has better cars, easier process, friendlier staff, etc. Which would you choose?

I like them both. I guess it depends on where you're picking the car up at and where you're returning it to.

I had the same question. I ended up going with Alamo because we get to select the car. I needed something with a lot of trunk space, so I got to do my own evaluation.

Budget is NOT off site.

In a toss-up...I don't know who I'd go with. I've used both. With Budget you KNOW what car model you're getting (for the most part). If you prefer to pick your own, then go with Alamo.

I don't know about Budget since we haven't used them. Last year, we used Alamo. It was great. We checked in online the day before and were able to bypass the counter (didn't have to deal with anyone trying to sell insurance or wait in a long line). We simply went directly to the garage (outside of baggage claim area) and picked out our car from the standard aisle. After picking out our car (key was in the car), we drove to the exit where DH showed our paperwork and his license. Then we were on our way. It was a very easy process.
