We used Alamo for the first time on 8/25. I had joined QS a few months ago and was a little nervous about how it would work. We went right out to the garage, checked in at the counter there (5 min) and picked out our car - a Saturn Vue. Return was just as easy.

I was never pressured to purchase insurance, maybe because I had already declined it on the QS form. They did ask if I wanted to pre-purchase gas, which I declined.

I have always used National EI, but found this just as convenient and the rate was so much better than Nationals rate (mid size SUV for $90.88 for 5 nights).

I would be happy to answer any questions.

How did you get such a good rate? The best I can get is a mid-size SUV for around $155 for 6 days?

I booked back in April when the rates were really low. I used the Wal-Mart code from mousesavers.com and the $25 off Entertainment online coupon (D24C). They didn't ask for the coupon.

I had the same experience last week. I did QS too for the first time. Went to the counter, I was the only one there, in and out and on my way sooo fast! I got a compact for $119 for 9 days. Drop off was a breeze too! Loved it! :cool1:

i just joined the QS program, so do you go to a special line inside or in the garage, someone said there was a counter in the garage, where is that, is that different then the check out booth? sorry for all the questions but i want to know as much as possible, you can use coupons too right
