Alamo rental arriving a day later??

Hi, I called Alamo last week to modify my reservation by one day. The agent told me she could not do it?? So I asked if I called on Monday and told them I was arriving a day later would that be OKAY?? She said she thought so?? I know when weather has delayed my flight I call and they HOLD my reservation. Has anyone just called and said I am coming in a day later?? The rental is originally for a week so I expect to pay the same price as 6 days. Thanks for any input!! Joan

They most likely will change the rate. Calling and changing is different than calling because of weather.
