Alamo prices down for Aug..

I know there are alot of these threads, but wanted to share that Alamo rates for Aug. are down. I had booked a few reservations for some clients and each one was down about $13.

However, Sept & Oct. did not come down yet...

Alamo rates had been down quite a bit until Friday. When I checked then they had gone up about $35 from my lowest confirmation on compact and mid-size. Looks like SUVs might be lower, especially with a coupon. We got a mid-size for $34 for 4 days!!!!!!

Holy crap they are! I just got mine down to 133.11!!!!! for a compact for 9 days I was playing last week and the best I got was 194.47 for Econ !!!!!!!! (used walmart code and 15 off Ent book)
I am stoked!!!!

what is the walmart code? I all ready have an Alamo reservation, I paid for it up front and did all the paperwork so it would be quicker. I am not sure how to change that kind of reservation but it is sure a lot cheaper on the Walmart web site. If I try to modify my reservation there is a place for a code.

I am not sure if this is still happening with Alamo, BUT, you cannot combine rate codes and coupons from different places, IE: Walmart code with Entertainment coupon. The site will take it and quote it, but, Alamo will refuse it when you check in.
Before I would do this, I would call Alamo and see if they do allow it. The last time I called to check, about a week ago (I did call 3x's) they will not allow it.
I know, National does and they are the same company, but......Alamo does not.

I think you may get better pricing booking through Alamo and under the id # 430710 ?? I think thats the one...

Also, if you have a bjs account thats where I find the best deals...

I used the alamo last min. code IG and the coupon code D24C $25 off and i got a standard suv for a week for $179.00 that is a savings of $50

mid size suv were $159.00

I did it exactly that twice before... no problems at counter There is a space for each on the ressie page.
