I am thinking about upgrading to a premium vehicle with Alamo - it's only about $30. more - if I know I can get XM radio. That still only puts me at $135. total for a week - fabulous. :thumbsup2 I believe if a vehicle has less than a certain amount of miles the XM is still activated, but does anyone know if XM is guaranteed for a premium vehicle without paying extra for it? The website does not specifically indicate it.

It's not the mileage it's based on time. Depending on the car it could come with a 3 month, 6 month, or longer trial. I am not sure if Alamo has any that come with it normally after the trial expires. Alamo used to rent a portable XM unit per day, not sure of they still do. I'd say a call to Alamo is in order to make sure you could either rent one or if the car comes with it.

Do you have XM at home or in your own car? If so, is it possible to call XM when you have your rental car and have them add that receiver for a set number of days? If so, that may be cheaper than getting it through Alamo.
