Alamo or National? Please help!

I've used National before, but I've never used Alamo. I've never had a problem with National, but I got a better rate with Alamo ($89 for a compact for 9/3-9/6). I've read that Alamo can have very long lines. Since we will be arriving at MCO at 10:00PM on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, I'm concerned that the lines may be even longer than usual. National is showing a rate of $92, just a couple of dollars more than Alamo. Should I switch to National?

Since Alamo and National share their counterspace and drop-off zones, it is not gonna make one whit of difference which you go with. So go for the slightly lower price, since you're gonna be in the same lines no matter which one you choose.

Thanks pumpkinboy. I didn't know that these two companies shared counter space and drop-off zones. Thanks for filling me in. I will stick with Alamo.

P.S. I noticed that you live in Newton (& BWV). We live in West Roxbury and we're staying at BWV for the first time!

If you sign up for National's Emerald Club, you can bypass the counter all together. You would have to redo you ressies once you had your number.

Glad I could fill you in neighbor! Before we bought, we lived over near you in Hancock Village (but on the Brookline rather than the WRox side). So we know WRox quite well. Enjoy BWV; it really is magnificent, and the location cannot be beat (so you might not need a car after all ).
