Shelby5514, you will need the coupon for this, but you can get it from the Entertainment book. You can order this with $5 and free shipping through a link at mousesavers.com. The book cost me $21, but reduced my Alamo rate by $29 over my Sam's club rate, so the book's already paid for itself!

I concur - you need a coupon. It is in your entertainment book. I believe the coupun will give you $25 off so if you don't have a coupon, it will add another $25.

kawanku - are there any detailed restrictions on the coupon such as picking up on certain days of the week? I used the coupon code you provided, and did order the Entertainment book, so I'll eventually have my own coupon to use, but it would be nice to know the details ahead of time since it may take 1-2 weeks to receive the book. The restrictions are that it has to be for a minimum 3 day rental, conv, minivan or suv p/u on Sun, Mon or Tues.
Funny, we are p/u on a Thurs returning on a Saturday and it says coupon accepted on the reservation.

mom_rules, Thanks for posting the restrictions. That's exactly why I was asking because that is exactly like the restrictions on the coupon I have for the 2004 entertainment book. When I book at Alamo with these codes it says:

You have entered a coupon. Please read the terms and conditions of the coupon before selecting your vehicle to ensure your coupon will apply to your reservation.

I'm also arriving on a Thursday and the website took the coupon, but I'm afraid they won't honor it given what they say above when making the reservation. Now I'm wondering if I should go back to using my Sam's code, which does give a discount, but just not as good as this one.

On the reservation itself-it says something like "coupon accepted" and does not have anything in the fine print about it.

Even if they don't honour the coupon at the desk, Alamo was still the cheapest for when and what I wanted. So if they add the $25 back on it is still reasonable in my circumstance.

It also accepted my coupon even though I'm picking up on a Saturday. My plan is to bring another coupon from my Entertainment Book that is for $20.00 if they won't let me use the $25.00 coupon.

It would have rejected the reservation if the coupon code was not good for the time of your rental.

I'm trying to help my boss get her rate lower at Alamo..she's arriving this Saturday..the 27th for 2 weeks! Right now she has an SUV reserved for about $350.00 for the two weeks...all taxes, fees etc. Not too bad...she's going to bring all of her Entertainment book coupons with her!

Just called Alamo to confirm reservation and compatabilty of the below listed coupon, (since it states "only valid for pickup sunday, monday, or tuesday").

The rep was very pleasant and told me that the 2005 coupon is good for pickup on anyday. The 2004 coupon was not. I indicated that I was concerned over a change at the counter since my printed coupon stated sun,mon,tues pickup only. She said she noted our conversation on the reservation and that I should have no problem when picking up.

Total for 9 days (incl all taxes, fees, etc) for an SUV is down to $194.00.

I just got off the phone with my boss, who arrived in Orlando today for her 2 week stay....they used the "E-book" coupon today, (Saturday) and had no problem...got an SUV for $346.00 for two weeks including fees & taxes!
She was thrilled it went through so easily.....no hassle and she just had to tell me that it was also 80 degrees today...while we are up here in the Northeast frezzing!
