Alamo - December Rate Drop

Finally - a decent rate!!! I was able to get a midsize vehicle for 12/8 to 12/15 (7 day rental) for a base rate of $76.20; after taxes and fees it is $108. I used Contract ID 7013604 (pay with American Express) and Alamo's $20. coupon.

I was first excited because National came down to $142. for the exact same scenario, but then I checked Alamo. Using QS with Alamo is ALMOST as good as EA with National.

My Alamo reservation for October 27-Nov2 just went down also!We now have a midsize for $120 something after tax using the Walmart code.Unfortunately the coupons are still not working for these dates but I will take a $60 drop in price any day.

Our standard SUV is down to $170 for Dec. 9 - 15th using the Am Ex discount code and an entertainment book $25 off coupon!!!

I'm trying to use a coupon for Oct 19 - 28, but the system won't take it. I guess coupons are blacked out for those dates.
