My rental dropped another $12 from yesterday to today - so check those rates. I am so glad to see rental rates going down. When I first booked for this trip (11 days) the best I could do for any size car was $277 - (that was the midsize SUV - but we didn't need it - it was just the cheapest) now we are at $144 for a mid-size and I'm thrilled. Oh this is for 08/31-09/10 Good luck getting good rates!

Thanks for posting this info...I just saved another $9.68 from yesterday and I did another check this morning? Guess I should be checking in the afternoons? I don't think I've ever rented a car so cheap? LOL! I started out for a midsize car at $229.92 for seven days and now I'm down to $107.99, wow! All using the same costco code and $20 off coupon.

I looked this morning and nothing had changed. After I saw your post, I checked again. I could either save myself $6. on a compact or upgrade to a bigger car for $1. less than my original rate. I upgraded to the mid-size. With the Wal-Mart code and e-coupon discount I am getting the mid-size vehicle for $107.50 for 8 days. That is a great rate.

Yee Haw. That was my 500th post. I am now a Dis Veteran. I feel so special.

Thanks so much. Shaved another 12.00 off our rate, down to 144.00 for 10 days. That SUV I originally had for 100.00 more isn't looking so good now.

Wow! You did great! My latest reservation is with Alamo and I got a mid-size for $162 for 11 days in late September/early October, including all fees, so I am happy. (I started 5 reservations ago at $232 - LOL!) Do you mind me asking what codes you used? I used some codes from Mousesavers (after trying about every combination) and this was the best I could do.

when putting codes in are you allowed to use 2 of them, I have the costco
one for a free day.

Todays rate!!!!! I have a mid size car for 8 days MCO using Bjs code for membership & $20 off coupon ..total w/ all taxes & fees $90.88.

The cheapest I can find is around $350 for my stay

OP-- Thanks for the advise! I just saved $25 on my two rentals in early April. I wasn't really planning on checking the rates this far out, but am glad that I did! It definitely pays to keep checking and rebooking if necessary!
