Alamo check in question

Hi guys!

Leaving for Disney tomorrow, so I'm trying to get everything ready to go this morning! I tried to check in with Alamo to save time online, but it said I wasn't eligible...not sure why, I think it has something to do with using a discount code and a coupon.

I rent through Costco so we can get a free additional driver, and the discounts are usually pretty good. My question is, since I can't check in online, will I not be able to use the kiosk either when we get there? I hate going to the counter, I'm trying to avoid it at all costs, but I have this feeling that if we try to use the kiosk, it will charge us for the additional driver. Any way to get around that? :)

Yes, go to the counter. They need to see the additional driver information, IE: name, drivers lic.
 
If you are using a coupon along with the costco discount that would be a reason why. We rented a full size SUV with a BJs discount in Aug. with a free second driver, and we were able to check-in on-line but we didn't have a coupon. Have to say the on-line was the greatest thing and all we had to do was walk to the garage and pick out the car and were on our way in no time. You will be able to use the kiosk, you will just have to enter the information for each driver. We tried this on last years trip and had more trouble with the kiosk not working right and ended up having to go to the counter.
 
We were directed to the kiosk last year after we checked in on-line. Then the additional driver was not on it... went tot he garage and picked a car and then to the office in the garage and they printed a 3rd contract that matched my reservation with the 2nd driver. If I hadn't brought a print out of my agreement I would have been stuck with paying for the 2nd driver... Have a great trip!
 

Online there are two options; SaveTime and Online Checkin. If you have a discount coupon you can only use SaveTime. There shouldn't be anything preventing you from using SaveTime. If you don't have a discount coupon (don't confuse coupons with contract IDs), you can only Use Online Checkin and there is no option for SaveTime.

Since you used a Costco contract ID and coupon, you can still use SaveTime. This will prevent you from having to manually enter a lot of information at the kiosk. With SaveTime you don't give your credit card information. No matter what you do, you will be able to use the kiosk.
 
i had a coupon could't check in online so off i go to counter 30 min. wait. then was told i didn't have to do this because i am an insider with alamo just get car and go to booth love alamo
