I am considering renting a car next trip at the Alamo Car Care Center, near the Magic Kingdom, so that I can not only have access to a car (to run to the store to get supplies for my then almost 3 year old son) but also to take advantage of Magical Express. I'm curious though to what people have paid for a week rental of a car from this location. So, what have people paid? When was your trip? What size car? How long was your rental for? Any good codes that can be applied to this location?

We were considering it for our trip this summer. We actually had a reservation but I just cancelled it recently because I think we want the convenience of having a car picked up at the airport. However, I did have a great deal. For 8 days (I was picking it up on a Friday and was going to be returning it the day before my trip ended which was the following Saturday) it was about 286, which I didn't think was horrible. Obviously I'm far out from my trip (we're not going until August), but I figured that was a good starting point for me and now I compare all the car rentals that I find to that price.

As for discount codes, go to mousesavers.com and look at the transportation page and then click on "Alamo." You'll see a ton of different ways to save. I've also hopped on to carrentalsavers.com. They have a ton of different coupon codes you could use as well! Good luck!

This location has Alamo and National, so as PP check mousesavers.com for most recent coupons. I usually book a car rental 4-6 weeks out from our arrival for the best deals. And this location has a Hess station practically attached to it, so great for topping up before returning. They will shuttle you to and from your resort for car pick up/drop off as well.

Have you considered a delivery service like GardenGrocer.com? They deliver food items as well as baby and health products. Using a delivery service will save you from spending valuable vacation time in a grocery store, not to mention the time spent getting/returning the rental car and driving to/from the store.

Yes and no. If DH comes with us, we will venture off site to eat. They don't have Sonic and Krystals in Maine and DH must get his fix. Plus, it is helpful for ADRs at hotels

If you pick up a car though Alamo at the Car Care Center first join the Alamo Insiders and receive a 10% discount.

If picking up a car though Alamo at MCO check prices though the Southwest web site or though Costco for some good discounts.

It's just a lot less hassle to get it at the airport, and cheaper. My easiest rental was Thrifty, with their version of insiders, the Blue. Chip I think it is. I watched the months and weeks before several agencies including Alamo at CCC onsite.

The ease was walk out the door, avoid the counter to the garage. My name was on the overhead sign with an isle and or space no. There was my car ready to go. A note said if I wasn't happy to come to the booth and they would accommodate my needs.

I was on my way in a few minutes. Return was a pull up, take my carry on, no gas receipts, or questions.

Alamo onsite you have to take the time for a pick up, which I waited 45 minutes for, the time AT&T he counter, they went for the car, then I had to drive back to Epcot where we were for the day. Taking it back was a reverse shuttling back to Epcot. Plus, it was more money....I just kept the car fewer days.
