Rueadisney...how did you get the free additional driver?? Great perk!!

It hits me not because I call them, but, because outsourcing to another country is NOT good for our country.CarolA said:I realize that. So far my National experiences have been fine.
(Someone else posted about outsouced Customer Service, but that probably doesn't hit me too much, I can't recall the last time I actually called a rental car company!)
The fact that National has EA has allowed me to avoid thier customer service, If however, I start having issues I will be gone.
I MUCH perfer Hertz so that's who I generally go with. For a savings I will go with Dollar where I have had good service also. (Haven't used Buget or Avis at MCO)
The last time I used Alamo at MCO was two years ago, as a QS member I went to the garage and selected my car and went to the check out booth with my coupon, reservation print out, cc and license. I was checked out in a matter of minutes. You might want to call the Orlando Airport station, the number should be on your reservation, and ask what the procedure is now.justplaingoofy said:Inconsistency kills me![]()
I recently became a quick silver member and they told me at MCO to go downstairs to the car rental counter. I was told they have a seperate line for quick silver and that you couldn't bypass the counter like you can their sister company Emerald at national.![]()
Would love to get info from someone traveling soon. We go mid Sept.

I just want to add a little more to some of the posts:
We've always rented from Budget. The reason why we're not sticking with them this trip is the cost. They've gotten too expensive. I tried Hertz, but they're even more expensive.
Avis seemed on par with Budget.
Alamo seemed to have the lowest rates. If I get a car not well cleaned, then oh well, I guess.
As for the Free Additional Driver, I didn't know about it. I just checked my confirmation I printed out from Alamo and there it is: 1 Additional Driver - Included.
I used the Costco number and also their coupon, AD85 which was $20. off a weekly rental.
I know Budget made me present my Costco card in order to make sure I was a member.
I'm guessing Alamo might also. It told me I had to print out the coupon, so I did.

I'm an xray tech in Philadelphia and I know when we call for service on our GE equipment, we are calling India. Really ticks me off but so many companies do this now I think it would be impossible to boycot every one of them.disneyldwjr said:It hits me not because I call them, but, because outsourcing to another country is NOT good for our country.

If you use a coupon, you need to check-in at the counter - I'd rather spend the $15.
Several times, with res booked using either referencing QS # & EA#,trstno1 said:Just to make sure it's clear - if you don't use a coupon, you don't have to check in at the counter. You can check-in online before you leave home, then just head directly to your car.

we were able to use a coupon w/o stopping @ terminal desk.
w/Nat.-handed it to gate person on way out.
w/Alamo-stopped @ garage desk...no biggie.![]()
CC statement always reflects the coupon discount.
